Just curious how much record time one gets per GB...

I'm curious about this too. I reserved the 16 GB version because I've been using an 8GB for all this time with no issue, but I didn't think about 720p recording and it's effect on storage space. I'm wondering if I should think about trying to get a 32 instead.

Edit: Whoops, didn't check the second page! 83 MB/minute isn't too bad I suppose. I don't plan on shooting movies or anything with it, just recording short videos. Still.... I dunno, that 32 GB would be nice. Might have to see if I can get there early enough to swap my 16 GB reservation for a 32 GB. Don't know if they'll let me though. Might have to wait for stock to build then return and exchange.

How do you get it to record in 720p? I shot a video and put it on youtube and it said it went up to 360p, but no 720p option.

Also, how do you pull the raw file off the iPhone?

Win 7 just browse to the device like you would a drive, go into the folder and copy it.

I uploaded the video straight to youtube pointing it to the file on the phone, took about 8 min to upload and process

Yea how do you record in 720p?

*I guess if you upload it through the phone it will leave out HD.

I'm using snow leopard.

Is there a setting you need to turn on to record in 720p or it doesn't send the video in 720p straight from the phone to YouTube and must pull it off the phone and then upload to YouTube?

I took a video and uploaded it from the phone straight to YouTube and I only go the 360p option. I took the same video and put it on my Mac, then when from Mac to YouTube and it now show's 720p. I also noticed while the video was uploading from the phone straight to YouTube it said compressing...I guess we can't upload to YouTube straight from the phone even over Wifi if you want to get 720p...unless there is a setting i'm not aware of?

For a phone, these aren't half bad. Compared to 720p video from dedicated cameras, they fare badly. Even my tiny Panasonic ZS7 takes much better video than this. But to be honest, that's okay because I'll have my phone on me all the time and at least this way I won't miss a moment when I don't have my dedicated camera.

Yep, can't upload straight from the iPhone if you want 720p.

what happens if you COPY a video instead of "send by email" from pictures/gallery on the iphone. and then PASTE into an email..

and sends it to the "mobile setup" email-adress in your youtube account?
adress is like: jka234Ssd23@m.youtube.com
(check youtube -> settings -> mobile setup)

will it be uploaded in full 720p to youtube? maybe someone with a iphone4 can try it out? if so maybe this is a work-around to upload full-res to youtube from phone. ofcouse it will take some time because of size. but will. :)
