Good news. Just went on applestore.com. Bought a tmobile 6 128gb. In store pick up came up right before i paid for 9/19. Hopefully everything goes as planned and i can pick up my new phone friday. **** verizon and there ********. Apple is a much better and secure website. (Except for the preorder day which they sucked just as equally).

I'm in an extremely similar situation to you with my iPhone 6 Plus 128 gb space grey. Same order location and my order number is in the 95xxx. No activity since the initial email confirming September 19 delivery.

I am in Montana. Where are you located since you have the same order location?

I'm in the Denver area

My label is now with UPS. It is now listed as UPS Next Day Air Saver, and still listed as shipping on 9/18, says label was created on 9/18 as well. So, looks like the original ship date was correct of 9/18, 2nd day air was wrong(VZW status lists it as 2nd day air), this is an overnight label. I ordered a iPhone 6 Plus 128GB and am confirming its definite arrival 9/19.

so i reached out to VZWsupport on twitter about maybe cancelling my pre order , if ican get one in the store on Friday , the response i got was

Thanks for reaching out! You should be able to cancel the phone order portion in store, but wait until you speak to someone. ^NN

I may go to a verizon store on Thurs , tell them what i want to do.. and make sure id be safe doing so. Kinda cover my bases both ways

That is your best bet. I called VZW a couple days before PreOrder Night because I was trying to go to Edge and my contract wasn't up until November. I was able to make sure I had everything lined up, Edge approved, any existing trade-in rules, etc so I wouldn't experience any delays during the Big Event  So glad I did: everything went through smoothly, and I had a tracking # on Saturday.

If i go to a verizon store and buy an iPhone 6+ outright for full price and then wait till the afternoon to see if my preorder arrives, can I return the full price purchase and just keep the preorder if it shows up? At the same time if the preorder doesn't show up, can i return the online preorder and then activate the full price phone?

It sounds logical enough. It seems the only thing you might be out is $35 restock fee.

Dude not sure what site you went to but I just went and there is nothing avail 3-4 weeks still

If it's estimated, then they should say estimated, and if they're going to take preorders, then they should process them in order of "first come, first serve." That's all I'm saying.

And as I said, the 10/7 in my confirmation email didn't even bother me that much initially, because it is just a phone, of which I have plenty (I use multiple devices pretty consistently for development). Honestly, this conversation is more annoying than Verizon's bungled preorder process; there's no reason to jump down my throat because I added my story to the litany of evidence that Verizon (and everyone else, really) messed up this preorder process.

You actually do not know that they are not processing 'first come, first serve'. You just don't know where in the process 'first come' is being applied. It is possible that preorders went into a sort of 'holding' table until they were batch uploaded to something that actually hits against inventory. As you are so knowledgeable about everything (I read your prior post), you know that db writes do not necessarily occur in the order in which data entry (your order screen) was performed.

Now we just gotta hope our drivers don't get in an accident. Maybe I should just pick mine up.

Aside from the driver having an accident, can you imagine if someone hijacked a pallet of the preorders from a FedEx hub?

Man, I'd love to have my order held for pickup..
but unfortunately my choice doesn't work for college dorms/residence halls :(

I guess my main concern right now though is getting that shipping notification..
128 6+ Space Grey where are youuu?!?!

----------

Actually....Has any new yorker received a shipping notification (or any order update whatsoever, for that matter) for a 128 GB 6+ yet?

:mad::mad: Total chaos. Undoubtedly would be chased down by an angry mob of apple fans and brought to justice

Well the question is what holds your place in line... according to Verizon it is the processing time stamp... not the order placement time stamp. It's first processed by the system, fret shipped... not the first entered.

So I am screwed... I would have been earlier if not for the ECDP error, but I still completed my order at 3:20am EST, and had 9/19 on the screen and 9/19 in the email confirmation... but was just told by a supervisor call-back that my place in line is time-stamped at 4:52am, which is when Verizon's system processed my order. So not only am I not getting my phone on 9/19, I'm not scheduled until the 3rd wave!

All those that said "trust the email"... I wanted to believe just like you, but i don't think that is the case this time... it is just a phone, but really bummed right now

Just went to the UPS website and "held for customer pickup". Now I won't have to miss the delivery and I can go pick up the phone at lunch!

Wooo!
I'm thinking of doing the same thing but mines is fedex. Is it only after a certain time they let you pick it up or even when they open can you pick it up? Deliveries in my neighborhood is usually around 5pm and I will go crazy waiting that long lol

Any silver 128gb Plus shipped yet? I've seen a few gold and space gray mentions but wondering if I missed out on some silvers?

Still waiting for my my silver 6+ 128 GB and a space gray 6+ 128 GB. NOTHING yet. Email says 9/19. Online it says: Estimated ship: not available. So frustrating. Verizon said there is no problem with my credit card and everything is on track for 9/19. She said the email is the most accurate source of info. *shrugs* So many conflicting reports so who knows.

If more people knew how to perform the direct call to Verizon's order status page with the method below, we'd have more accurate information regarding which phones are actually shipping, which orderCluster they're coming from, regionId, etc.

explain it. I did it using postman but it doesnt tell me anything more than what my email tells me as of right now

Thanks, but I meant particularly the people that had their phones ship. Perhaps they're all in the same orderCluster, for example.

Verizon really should have been much clearer/more transparent with this whole process.
