Someone already received tracking info for their 16gb + gold. So there goes that theory along with 100's of others out the window lol

Everyone could sit back, relax, enjoy today, and not obsess to the point of anxiety over a phone. Don't get me wrong I am excited for it but I am not refreshing order status every 5 seconds, endlessly calling customer service, and losing sleep and having anxiety over a phone. Most of the people on the forum are having fun playing the waiting game. I feel bad for those so obsessed and emotionally involved with having to have instant gratification of having the phone at 8am Friday that they are furious, nervous, or sad.
 
On the phone with internet sales support. Finally got someone who understands and sees my concern. She's looking into canceling my order and doing the jump the line thing to try and keep my 9/19 delivery date.

Will see what happens, she's talking to her supervisor.

Gazelle extension, Zip from Verizon

As I continue to wait for Verizon to give me any sort of update, I just got this email from Gazelle extending my trade-in by date!

"We've extended your expiration date to October 15th

Due to the potential for long waits for the new iPhone, we've extended your expiration date and locked in your current offer price until October 15th. As long as your package is postmarked by that date, we'll honor the original price we offered for your phone"

I couldn't agree more. I've said numerous times I'm not expecting my phone until the 14th or maybe a few days before. I am just reading the posts here because it actually keeps me updated without having to call Verizon or check my order status ;) Like when you posted about talking to a manager inquiring about the gold + 16gb. I do hope you get yours before the 14th tho! I have more serious things to be furious, nervous and sad over..like my sister battling stage 4 ovarian cancer.

I think if people were given a definitive "this is your delivery date", most would accept it and go on about their lives until then. Unfortunately, dates given at checkout and in confirmation emails have proved to be unreliable. Not to mention all the people who's orders were canceled or fouled up somehow. People don't like the unknown or to be left in limbo and therefore will obsess over it.

I am sorry about your sister. I am on this forum because I have a few days off from work and have nothing to do with my time. This forum is amusing :)

Unfortunately Apple severely underestimated presales (again) and made a launch date earlier than they were prepared for. Verizon management is trying to get answers just like everyone else. All answers given are estimated at best. Unfortunately they don't have any real answers for us as they don't have the answers themselves.
 
I was told 10/7 was the LATEST that we will receive the devices.

If they get more devices in earlier, they will be shipped earlier to us.

I am willing to bet that 9/19 is out of the question though..

I just don't know how the launch day and other country roll outs will affect the 10/7+ dates.

At first she was being like most, just saying whatever. But she really looked into it for me. She couldn't find any problems with the order, despite not seeing the EDGE Agreement. She even thought the EDGE Agreement should show up right away. She asked me to monitor, and if nothing happens by Friday, they will cancel the order and re-do it. She said I would keep my same deliver by date. (Which doesn't make sense since I'm supposed to get it Friday)

Just a waiting game... Should see a CC charge by tomorrow for my down payment, otherwise I'm pretty sure my order got stuck.

We ordered 3 of the 6+'s right around 6 hours after the start of pre-ordering. I just got off the phone with Verizon and was told that we won't see them on the 19th and most likely not till the first week of October.

You expect them on the 19th when you ordered 6 hours after presales began? That's a good one! LOL

That's understandable since you order 6 hours into the pre order most people that are upset or wanting clarification ordered within the first 30min to 1 hr of pre order opening not getting phones until maybe 10/14 and later.:rolleyes:

Mine has been stuck on "A UPS shipping label has been created. Once the shipment arrives at our facility, the tracking status will be updated." for two days but it says expected ship date on the 18th and says should reach me by 19th -___- I just want to see some damn movement!

You may actually see movement tomorrow if not later tonight! :)

Be happy you got first week of October after ordering 6 hrs later. I got a 10/14 15 mins after preorder launch.

Very weird... I did my upgrade with EDGE and even thru the cancellations and all that, I got my EDGE agreement, they got me moved to the top of the queue and I've got my tracking number.

Granted, it's technically a week late since my first order confirmation said 9/12, but we all knew that was bogus! :)

Hoping it all comes through for you!
 
Mine too. Shows next-day shipping through UPS though right? Wouldn't expect to see movement until tomorrow at least.

Mine is the same since yesterday morning.. I do see a UPS Next Day Air Saver which means it should reach us by 3pm on 9/19 :cool:
 
Question:

I ordered an iPhone 6 over the phone with verizon and for some reason I wasn't charged tax. My credit card was charged but it was just the retail price of the phone $849.

I was wondering if anyone else had the same experience or if verizon will charge tax separately?
