I finally have a tracking number under online status. Maybe I can clarify some information for everyone.
1. I preordered at around 2:45a.m. central time. It would have been earlier, but I was unable to find a way to preorder more than 1 phone on edge at a time and i needed 2 phones. I decided to just order regular 2 year contract.
2. I received a confirmation email a couple hours later stating 9/19 delivery.
3. I checked under online status about 6 hours later and it showed a 10/7 delivery online. Then a couple hours later that status changed to "Order in processing, no shipping information".
4. 2 Days ago, the design of the status page changed but still said order processing. The design has a left column that has an empty space for where tracking number can go, and on the right column it said "still processing, check back tomorrow". This change in status page correlates to a credit card charge for the purchase of both phones including tax that occurred on the same day. From my understanding, the credit card charge means that the phone is being sent out.
5. I never received an email with tracking information. Instead, I received an email today that asked me to confirm my email address. I clicked confirm and then checked online status. Online status shows tracking information now.
6. Tracking information says my phone was shipped on the 14th. 3 days ago, which correlates with the credit card charge.
So if you are wondering whether or not your phone has been shipped and you will receive it on the 19th, I believe there are 2 potential indicators. 1 indicator is your status page changing in format to showing a 2 column, empty tracking info on the left and "processing, check back tomorrow" on the right. 2nd indicator is a credit card charge for the full amount including tax.
If you notice either of those indicators, I believe that you can count on getting your phone on the 19th.
