We had to leave at 230 to go out of town for the weekend for my brothers wedding. That big ole brown truck showed up at 2:15!!!! Happy silver 128gb 6+ owner!!! :)
 
You're even more lucky. I've had several different FedEx agents tell me different things. 2/3 of them said that because of an error in their supply chain, they would deliver tomorrow. The last guy said that they were wrong and that there was no way that they would deliver tomorrow.

Well not so much anymore. We're in the same boat. It's 8:22pm now.

Final update for this thread. Having tried both new models at a Verizon store earlier, I realized that some of the people predicting high return rates on the Plus might be right. Thought about what to do until about noon, went to another Verizon store (was on the other side of the city by then) and they cancelled my Plus order for me (was still showing shipment at 10/10, still no CC charge), and now I've got exactly what I want: iPhone 6 Space Grey 128gb :)

To all those whose Plus orders aren't shipped out yet (the vast majority), I highly recommend you go into a store and play with both sizes. I suspect some of you, like me, will decide 6 is actually the size you'll want, so you'll be saved the frustration of the long wait and a potential return. Good luck everyone!

I completely agree. I went to the VZW store at lunch to look at both. I decided the 6 non-plus was plenty big, and it looked and felt great, so I canceled my Plus order and walked out with a 64GB Silver 6. It's great to be back with Apple and the iPhone 6!
 
Got my 6 plus 128 gb space grey!!! I love it already and can't imagine going back smaller. Using it one handed right now, so if your hands are large enough, it is a little of stretch, but not impossible. I actually love the size and kinda wish it were even slightly bigger, but I don't mind two handed use. Side note, iOS 8 is great as well.
 
Gorgeous! I really wanted one of the white screens, but I can't get over how beautifully the black front on the space grey model seamlessly meets the rest of the screen and case. When the screen is off, it looks even bigger.

On a side note, how many of you are glad to finally close all of the open Verizon and fedex or ups tabs in your browser? Lol
 
Order has been shipped!! Got a tracking # but it doesn't work on FedEx, UPS, or USPS.

Just curious, it says "Courier = 930" Anyone know which one that would be?

I can honestly say that I wasn't obsessively looking at my order status or tracking information. I knew it was coming and obsessing over status and tracking makes time CRAWL lol

I will be getting an otter box for it so color didn't matter because you won't be able to see it.

Hate otterbox for looks, but it's pretty tough case. I had one for the iPhone 5. Also hate how the screen protector bubbles. It's a sacrifice of bulk for beauty. I'm waiting on the lifeproof case, better protection and slimmer. The otterbox for the 5 also protruded too far from the screen and made it hard to access the edges of the screen.
 
Its highly likely you havent had any issues with your electronic device or their network. Which means you havent had to actually CALL them. Their service is among the poorest across the country which national complaint data supports.
They are like most large corporations where they excel at about 60% of what they do. As soon as you have an issue, or a one off, something that engages the other 40% of what they do... the wheels come completely off the train and they fail miserably. just my experience.

I've been all across the country sir, in places you wouldn't even know existed on fires in less populated areas of the country. Before Verizon, I use to purchase a $10 calling card every summer to be able to call home and check in from fire assignments in remote area. When I got on Verizon, even during the Loma Preita Earthqauke in California, I Always was able to manage to get a connection on my calls. If I had a difficult signaling, the closest Mountain top made finding a signal easy. Our items of importance may be different. I measure them by the thing that their primary function, Telephony! :)

oh that $10 a year calling card thing? haven't had to use that since the summer of 2001. and we all know what happened that summer:apple:

I have found Verizon helpful and responsive, though I have only dealt with people in the store.
 
This thread totally died out this evening. I guess everyone is either playing with their new phone or is on the phone with VZW customer service trying to get their phone before October.

I hate Fedex. They did this when I preordered the Note 3 and they did it again. They told me when I called at 8:30 that Fedex was en-route, and would go on his way at 8:45pm. At 9:50pm I refresh Fedex and see the tracking changed to Monday delivery. I've been home the entire time, and the package has no signature required. Which shows the driver just didn't show up. This happens every time I preorder a package.

While Apple will have the most phones they probably already have a large line. Verizon stores will get some tomorrow but in limited quantities. If your going to get one you may want to camp and t out. Talk to the verizon store manager and see if they will even have the exact one you want. They can't tell you how many they have but should be able to say if they have them at all.

I went with that theory and camped out at the verizon store (who told me that they were getting every capacity in stock in 6+s) and I wasn't a stickler for color so as long as it was 64 or 128 I was happy. Guess what? Only 16...despite me calling for days and asking if they have updates on their stock and the person telling me every time they will have every model. Verizon employees lie through their teeth. Just tell me you dont know if you really dont know, don't string me along and piss me off.

6 hours in line at the Michigan Ave apple store and I have the exact phone configuration I wanted. I wish I would have gone there right off the bat because I probably would've got out sooner.

I ordered another phone for another line a few days ago. It said deliver by 9-23 in my initial email. I was supposed to get another email after with the shipping and tracking info. I am still waiting for it. 2 days now.

When i check the status it says my order is processing. I called and they cannot pull it up yet. They claimed since it is still processing. How long does it take to get an email with my tracking info? (Assuming my initial email is correct and it is supposed to arrive 9-23)
 
Yes, I get to spend another day kissing Fedex's rear. Now I have to drive 45 minutes to Fuqua in South Houston.

Or I get to wait till Monday, but then the driver will probably lie again!

That happened to me before. Luckily I had used the address of my work which had outdoor video cameras. I burnt the footage to a cd and took it to the depot and showed the manager and told him that I was going to turn it over to my friends in the news center of a local tv station ( I was a radio dj at the time) if the driver wasn't disciplined for lying TWICE in two days. The driver was fired the next day.

That's awesome. I normally don't agree to getting people fired, but this driver lied, and has done this multiple times to me. I swear if he does this one more time I will film the entire day off my phone, and trim it to the parts when Fedex "claims" they arrived.

Makes me want to assault the Fedex driver.
 
It's indirect signature and no one around to indirectly sign. It'll be here tomorrow; I'm just a little bummed to not have my shiny new toy now.

If a Friday delivery is missed, unless specifically paid for by shipper, the next delivery attemp is Monday. Does VZW have some kind of exception to this?

Called to active my iPhone today, and they let me take a phone line thats upgrade was due in December and upgrade now, and than immediately take that line and switch it to a spare ipad I had lowering the bill for that line to $10 a month. Than I when I was asking about another one, they let me upgrade a line thats contract was up June 2015, so I got to order 2 more iphone 6's today for family members. The Gold 64GB expecteded ship date was 9/20 but the Space Gray was 10/17.
