I wonder why? Verizon is the biggest US carrier. You would think they would get top priority. Apple promoted volte in the intro of the iPhone 6. I have hope!
Well the 6 Plus was already in short supply at launch, because of manufacturing issues, but apple insisted on launching it in unison with the regular 6. And of course they will keep the majority of them for the Apple.com pre orders, all the other carriers are getting very small amounts.
I live in the Silicon valley home of Apple and some of the biggest tech giants and I cant even get an Iphone 6 plus at any retailer because people are camping out and buying 2 pluses at a time to resell as soon as any new 6 pluses come in to refresh stock. It's a mess, It's become more about people looking to turn a profit more now than just someone excited to get their new phone.
Ahn ok I think I would have to cancel my verizon pre order first to allow me to do that on the apple.com site if I want to use my upgrade instead of paying full price.
I want to purchase the iphone for Verizon but don't want to use my upgrade option even though I am entitled to it. Is there a way to just pay full retail via apple online or Apple Store since inventory refreshes overnight without using the upgrade option, I would like to bypass the upgrade if possible. It just says $399 for the model I want.
Anyone know generally on how it takes for VZW to send a shipping notice?

I'm trying to see if it will get moved up again and when the cutoff of that will be. I assume when Verizon sends the shipping info, its being shipped.

I'm about to go down to my local VZW store to have a look at the phones and probably place an order on the 6+ 64GB in Space Gray, but have a question about the 1GB/mo bonus data promo that VZW is running: does it only apply if we buy/upgrade from Verizon itself? So, for instance, I won't get the data promo if I order via Apple's store?
I didn't order until lunchtime so my space grey 128 6+ was given the 10/28 date.
I notice everyone who is waiting on these sort of timescales got 'moved up' four days but I'm not convinced that's what we're actually seeing.

I now have a ship date of 10/24
I think this amounts to the same thing.

This actually happened some hours after midnight on 9/12.
Its been that for a while now, but according to Verizon reps on their support forums, you should get it on whatever ship/delivery date it says.

Ordered 9/19 at 3:20am and site said complete and threw out the orders as I found out later in the day so I reordered at 4pm. Said delivery 10/7 then to 10/3, fedex showed up 9/19 with a cell phone. Status still shows 10/3 and never got a shipping confirmation. This mean I have a free phone coming???
picked one up at the mall today. preordered in the AM, got an email to come pick it up 2 hours later, walked in past the line, got the 6+ walked out.

I ordered a 6+ 128GB (Space Gray) on 9/12, but after 8:00 AM.

Are you sure it's only new lines and not upgrades? I went to a store and specifically asked whether that was the case and was told it applied to upgrades as well, as long as the line is on a More Everything plan. Verizon's advertisement on the promotion also suggests that it applies to both upgrades and new lines -- that is, any new contract.
All of this is contingent on purchasing the device directly from Verizon, of course.
