If that is the case then, then that can't be tracking it by IMEI and it has to be done by the SIM that is shipped?
Yeah tell me about it. Im kinda wondering if we are better off going to a store and picking one up
Those of us that got ours on 9/19 didn't get any info until a day or two before. So if you are 10/7 or 10/3, you're not gonna see anything until beginning of October.
It's extremely frustrating to me that people are able to walk into stores and pick up phones that other people preordered and have to wait weeks for. It should be first come first serve. It's sickening that there are devices sitting on shelves in rural areas because Verizon want's to maximize sales instead of taking care of its customers.
Yes how frustrating it is to realize despite a date provided of 10/3 the calendar still says it's 10 days out and nothing has shipped, time to rage. /s
A surprise would be nice, not shipping earlier is hardly worth the frustration. If it's 10/4 and we don't have them, then it's time to be pissed off.
I stopped by my local Verizon store yesterday. They did not have any pluses in stock. If I wanted a 6 I could have had it yesterday.
I went friday on release day at about 6pm and my local verizon store still had 6's in stock but not 0 plus'
Then why don't you go into a store and get one? This isn't just a Verizon thing. Apple does the same. They allow so many for preorders, and try to get sufficient stock for their B&M stores.
Good morning all...is Apple doing anything like they have in the past as far as checking supply status at stores at night? Every time I go to the apple site and check for availability for the phone all of the stores in new england just say no availability. Is it worth calling the stores directly every morning?

Go online at apple.com and you can see what they have at Apple Stores near you. If they have something, you could pay for it online and pick it up in the store. Better than calling or driving around.
I understand it is the verizon thread..I ordered my 6+128 gig phone from Verizon site right after 3 AM on the first order day. Was originally told delivery on 9/19 and then it was by 10/7 and now its shipping 10/10. I am just curious if there is a way to check supply or if there is a better time during the day to call and check who has what.
I have a 10/03 delivery date for the 6. I called my local Verizon store this morning and they have one 6, but is 128GB, which isn't what I want. He didn't think they would be getting any more deliveries until all the pre-orders are filled.

They had plenty at 5PM on launch day in Simpsonville, SC. No pluses, but plenty of 6's.

Ship dates
I am becoming less confident there will be much movement on shipping dates, though I hope I am wrong. Here's why:
The WSJ reported that Foxconn, the only Chinese manufacturer making the iPhone, was producing about 140,000 6+ a day. That is 980,000 a week. Many who ordered 6+ on the 12th shortly after preorders began were receiving a 10/3 or 10/10 ship date, so I would figure that Apple had few 6+ they were able to ship.
Apple sold 4 million iPhones on the 12th. If we assume there was a 50-50 split in sales, that implies 2 million 6+. That is about two weeks of production, or a 10/3 ship date. While there may be some movement on the more recent orders whose ship dates are late October (assuming a faster production rate due to more workers, greater efficiency and more supply of the larger glass), I would suspect any movement will not be dramatic.

VZW Order
I was late in pre-ordering, as I wanted to be sure I had enough money to pay my current phone off (I am on the Edge program, and have a broken screen on my current phone; therefore, before ordering I have to pay the balance off on my current phone). Anyway, I pre-ordered on the 17th, and it says that the phone won't ship until the 29th. When I check my status, it just keeps saying my order is processing. I assume that is normal?
