Sadly, I was one of the people who logged on exactly at 3:00am set and got ecpd errors on the verizon site.

I ended up ordering my a few hours later and got a delivery date of 10/7.

Same thing happened to me. Could not get into the system to order and could not get anyone on the phone. Next morning I called and ordered the phone. They told me it was company discount not loading issue. Makes me wonder if they were just making folks with discounts wait.

My 6+ is coming on 21 Oct :(
 
I ordered iPhone 6+ 64GB Space Grey at 3:30AM (Eastern time). I started at 3:00 AM showing 9/19 delivery date. I got stuck 3 times during the process and finally ordered it at 3:30 AM showing 10/7 delivery date. My confirmation email also said 10/7. I was pretty much upset about that, but I am hopeful that I will get it on launch day. I mean I ordered it 30 minutes later after Verizon opens to pre-order.

I don't know if you already got help on this - but I wasn't their customer either. Call this number: 1800-922-0204 and then from the menu press the number for checking your order. It will ask for your confirmation number and tells you if your order is shipped! :)

Lol I tried this and I got: "Your order is pending shipment and will be shipped on..." In other words it said absolutely nothing when the system was to say the shipped date. :(

No it should not be a problem. I also used a CC that was not in the account owners name. CC has been charged and i have shipping info.

The online order status verification thingie has been stuck on "order pending", but according to this, my order either has shipped or will ship (couldn't quite hear the recording) in two business days. I tried getting it to tell me the tracking number, but I got sent back to the main menu instead.

No problem! If your email says delivery date of 9/19 I'm sure you will get your shipment number soon - I got mine this evening. :)

I had some drama with my bank apparently denying charges on ALL iPhone orders until their fraud division gets things settled, so I'm not sure what my order status is at this point!

Well, yes, I have thought about it. However, I have this little thing known as a JOB that will not allow me to stand in line for a store to open on a Friday! This is why I pre-ordered, so I could get my phone on release day. Looks like my husband is getting a phone but I'm not, and I'm the one who really needs and want it, he could honestly care less. :mad:

I have a job to that's why I can purchase one. It's simple sleep until you need to get in line . Wait in line . Get phone , go to work tired. I'm doing more research to see if I can grab one launch day and cancel the order.

Are you sure it wasn't for the last phone you ordered and not the 6?

It's possible, but would the Order Confirmation number be the same? And why is it saying that it's going to arrive in 2 days before saying that it's been received? Very confusing!

I've already sat on hold for a ridiculously long time once today. I'll call tomorrow if the website/phone message still hasn't been updated.
 
I live in the same time zone as Cupertino. Tried at 12:30 a.m. but the Apple website was down. A couple hours later, I tried Verizon but Verizon doesn't recognize my street address because we don't get home delivery of mail - only to our local post office. They WILL NOT send me anything EVER to my street address even though Amazon and everyone else WILL.

So I fill out the Vz order and they deny it based on my "invalid" address. Try the Apple Store website and THEY are using the Vz address and also say NO WAY. So I'm prevented from ordering based on my rural address and no home delivery of US Postal Service even though I routinely get UPS, FedEd, and everyone else.

At 4:30 a.m. after all my failed attempts, I'm sitting in my dark living room FUMING when an email from the Apple Store arrives on my iPhone 5S. For lack of anything else to do, I checked it out and it was a request to order an iPhone 6 or 6+. So I went through all their screens on my iPhone and LO! Not five minutes later I had my iPhone 6+ successfully ordered!!! Apple was - in this case - using my Apple billing and shipping address that Vz and the Apple Store website rejected!

Go figure that one.

I have a delivery date of Oct. 15-20 which doesn't bother me. I'm grateful I'm at least in the pipeline.

PS - When I pre-ordered the iPhone 5, it was very interesting to follow the shipping track from China. Then the iPhones were shipped through Anchorage, Alaska to Kentucky where they languished until the official release date. THEN they went out to the regional distribution points and ultimately delivery.

I feel sorry for the FedEx'ers and other carriers that have to beef up to handle the deluge of deliveries - all of which need a signature. What a massive headache.

But it's an exciting time!
 
My 5s came via the China - Anchorage route too. My 1st gen iPad mini popped up on radar at our local distro in Ontario, CA then was delivered on launch day the next day. Looks like this time Apple had a lot of supply already in the states. I think the 5s was short on supply due to the Touch ID hardware.

Probably has not been picked up by the carrier so vzw does not have the tracking informaiton yet. Calling that number went straight into a recording with shipping information for me. My order status online (https://preorder.verizonwireless.com/iconic/iconic/screens/IconicSearchInit.do) still does not show a tracking number just expected ship date.

When I call, this is what I do.

I just press 0 to bypass all the menus, until I get to the part where it asks for you to press 1, 2, 3, or 4 or the prompt asking you what you need help with. (If the former, press 4 and you will be prompted for what you need help with.). Say "Order Status" it may ask to confirm if you have a question about an order, just say yes. Enter your account passcode. It will ask if you are calling about reservartion confirmation number ending in XXXXXX. If those are the correct numbers, press 1 and it will tell you your status.
 
I finally got an updated status screen on my order page.

Status: Your order is currently being processed. Please check back tomorrow.

I won't bother with the phone trick unless I don't get a ship confirmation by Monday. Then maybe I'll start to get a little concerned. Until then, I feel like I'll have mine on Friday.

He said just call in 2-3 times a day just in case something comes up. He didn't know if Verizon processes orders on Sundays, but I'm willing to bet because of the all the demand they will.

My card still hasn't been charged so I don't see that happening tonight. I have a feeling that another big batch of tracking numbers will be coming out either tomorrow or Monday.

Confirmed again that it was still showing 9/19 for "shipping" (we all know its going to be delivery).

Placed my order on the Verizon site a few minutes before midnight. Got my confirmation at 12:04am.
Expected delivery date on 9/19. Got my tracking number also, shipping via FedEx :)

Yeah the reps have told me numerous times that they are SHIPPING on 9/19 not delivering on 9/19. Even though their own advertising and a ton of other people have said the opposite. I honestly don't think they know what they are talking about yet they apparently had huge meetings just before pre-ordering began that got them up to date on what is going on....seems as though they missed the key part that the phones are supposed to be in our hands on 9/19! Or at least they better be! :mad:
