Guess we'll know Friday the veracity of VZW's email communications. I still think the absence of a charge on your card says way more than an email or what a VZW rep says. If they haven't taken your money, it's safe to assume you aren't getting the goods.

All the charges that cleared on Saturday were probably entered on Friday. I'd say if there's no action on your card by Wednesday, you can probably assume you won't be able to smear your greasy fingers over the oleophobic screen on Friday.

You're completely wrong. I have ordered the iphone 4 and 5 from Verizon and BOTH times they didn't charge or put a hold on my card until about 1 day before its release date. Look back at old threads for Verizon iphone releases and you will see this ALWAYS happens.

Verizon reps have to process ALL orders 1 by 1 by hand. It takes time. Over the next few days cards will be submitted and processed for more orders.

All will get by the day the email says as the email date is based off a REAL device at a REAL location set aside for your order. This is why sometimes people have been getting later dates in their email then from when they ordered.

I have had my Verizon order show no progress 2 times before. And both times I got my phone on time. The iphone 4 I even got 1 day early.

So you can stop the trolling as history proves your assumptions wrong.

I had Verizon cancel my 5 for some reason. I was livid and called them. There was a problem with my CC, but they were able to restore the order and I *STILL* got it on release day. :)

People always freak out on these forums (myself included) because they know that if something goes wrong then they have a LONG wait for a new order. However Just stay away and chill. Everything will go fine.

With the iphone 5 I made 2 Verizon orders at the same time.

Looking back at my CC charges it shows:

1 phone was charged on Sep 18th
1 phone was charged on Sep 20th

Both phones were received on Sept 21st the day the phone was release.

I also remember being VERY upset that the 2nd phone (mine) was not gonna be on time.... IT WAS ON TIME!!

Checkout said 9/19 but Confirmation says 10/7 Delivery

I also ordered 2x 64GB 6+ 128 GB space gray phones around 3:15am EST Friday morning, site clearly indicated 9/19 delivery, confirmation email however said delivery on 10/7, since then nothing but “Expected Ship Date: Not available at this time” on the status page.

I read earlier in this thread where a VZW rep supposedly told someone that an internal memo is being circulated saying anything ordered before 6 AM would be delivered on the 19th. Based on this I called VZW last evening and after being told the stock answer I specifically asked the rep if she had seen a memo as I just described. I was put on hold for about eight minutes and when she came back she told me yes indeed that was true further saying any iPhone six ordered before Sunday would indeed be delivered on 9/19. I asked if this was true for the 6 + and she said yes.

I think those of us in this situation have a better than 50/50 shot at Friday delivery. Yes many people are saying that VZW confirmation email delivery dates seem to be the gold standard of accuracy but it seems logical to me that people that ordered even the 6 + in the first hour or hours are in the first group and even minimal stock should cover this first batch. If I recall we had an almost identical situation a couple years back with the 5 launch.

I think our strategy should be for EVERYONE in this 9/19 confirmation at order but were sent confirmation emails of 10/7 or later should call VZW in mass (multiple times) and press them about this alleged internal memo. What exactly does it say? Maybe someone can get a copy or at least some specific text.

Wait, what? Trolling? Extreme overreaction is extreme.

I am amazed that you can conflate two experiences to the millions of people in the preorder queue. My mind doesn't work that way.

Now, if Verizon's POS system is as deeply integrated as you seem to imply (something that doesn't seem to be the case given the existing problems with front facing customer systems, vague responses from reps, etc) then that would be interesting to deconstruct. And there hasn't really been any in depth discussion of card issuers. Maybe we should explore that and look for correlation.

great post. more hope!!

I think all of us that ordered right away will get it on release day. It's just frustrating when you lack an email confirmation and the status page is vague & no tracking #. My bank account does show a pending charge so that's good. The VZ rep told me it would be delivered by 9/18 << Yes, 9/18? Lol who knows

If I had a tracking # I'd feel alot better!

I know it is easy to say, but the release date is still 5 days away. I'm not freaking out yet about the lack of a tracking number. They seem to be shipping on the GB size ordered (6+ 128 GB here) as I see a lot are reporting their 16's and 64's have shipped. Either that, or something is screwy with the 128's and we aren't going to get them until January. I'm seriously hoping that isn't the case!:cool:

curious if anyone has a 10/7 ship date and has seen their order status update on VZ. mine says date not yet available, wonder when that would actually become visible.

I am in the same boat. E-mail showed date of 10/7. current Expected Ship Date shows "Not Available at This Time". No credit card charge as of yet. :(

I really hope that this is good info! I got my order through for a 6+ 64GB Space Gray at about 4am ET / 1am PT, so roughly an hour after they began taking orders. I received the 10/7 date via e-mail confirmation. I am really hoping for 9/19 delivery, however my order status is still showing date unavailable and no credit card charge as of yet. :(

Oh yeah, that's a brilliant strategy. Inundate the company with demanding & time consuming calls. That'll for sure get everyone their iPhones quicker.

I ordered an iPhone 6 plus 64gb right at the time pre orders started. And all I have is the pre order conformation that says deliver by the 19th. J have no charge to my card yet either. I probably won't worry about it untill Wednesday if it's still the same way. But I think they just have so many orders that it's taking a while

How about this...everyone post your iPhone model, order number, time you placed it, when you received your tracking # etc so everyone here can better deduce where they might fall in line in this madness.

That being said, most businesses don't like to over promise and under deliver which is what is going on here. Think about it, if your confirmation says 10/14 like so many I've seen on here and you receive it launch day, you'll be ecstatic. Think about the other way around, Verizon doesn't want a rash of irate people calling in on launch day when they are trying to activate the phones people received.

Just have a little faith, I'm putting my faith in the email confirmation I received stating deliver by the 19th. As well I went on my Verizon and the two lines I upgraded to the iPhone 6 16gb show that new devices have been purchased and are waiting to be activated.

With that being said, I ordered mine around 3:20 CST and received order confirmations at 4:03 and 4:07 CST respectively. Confirmation emails stated deliver by 9/19. Order status check states order has been received and is in process. My first order # is in the 1,033,561 and order status online states expected ship by 9/19.

Hey everyone, after reading some of the threads I think I have an opposite problem:

I ordered a "regular" iPhone 6 gold 16gb Saturday around 3pm. Email confirmation and order page said delivery 9/19 but on the order status webpage where I have to enter an order number it says estimated shipping 10/7.
What is the deal? Should I believe the email confirmation or the order status page?

:apple:

So my final checkout and email confirmation both said 9/19, but when I check order status it says "we have received your order and it's in process" with an expected ship date of 10/14??

That will change because my conformation email says 9/19 and when I checked the status it said 10/7 but it went away. And my order was placed at 02:01 cst

Yes, the exact same thing for me for the 6+ 128 GB space gray. I ordered a few minutes after 12 PST. Confirmation says 9/19 online says "not available" for expected ship date. The other phone I ordered a few minutes later is a 6+ 128 GB silver. Confirmation says 9/19, online says 10/14. No credit card charges on either.

Hey guys I'm in the same boat. I know NOONE at all who has had the Verizon 128gb plus model charged in full. Yes, I understand there is still time before ship, but I think it is very odd that just one single model hasn't been charged at all. I ordered through the vzw website and got confirmation email at 257am EST.

Even you guys who are saying that everything is fine, you have to admit that it is a bit odd that just one model isn't being charged at all.

So, those of you who are saying everything is fine, and those who are worried both answer this - what are some reasons why just the Verizon iPhone 6 plus 128 gb, ordered thru the vzw site, hasn't been charged in full yet?

My expected ship date is still unavailable per the order status page. I called Verizon thinking I might get an automated update that's different from the one online, but I got a person instead. She confirmed my delivery date of 9/19 and said the shipping method was overnight, so there probably won't be a status change until Wednesday or Thursday.

I'm going to speculate that the majority of the issue with the 6+ is nothing more than supply and demand. Seems like most folks went with the 6+ because you can still go on Apple's website and preorder the smaller 6 and receive on launch day. All we heard was that it was going to be announced but that the 6+ wasn't going to ship for a few months or whatever. I have a hard time believing Apple would allow any of the carriers to overbook these phones and give unrealistic shipping expectations. They just have too tight a grip on their operations to let a carrier taint the brand. These carriers know exactly the allotment they will receive, and I feel the preorder confirmation is the correct estimate. I think Verizon's processing and order stays system is out of whack trying to deal with the massive wave of orders.

limited supply of the plus due to production issues according to bloomberg. There just isn't as many available. The regular 6 was and is still being produced in abundance. Also have to remember that the phablet market is still very small.

I am just hoping that there have been no screw ups, and that whatever limited number of units they were expecting has actually held up. Perhaps the delay is simply that an Apple production facility needs an extra couple days to get them their promised number of units. But, theoretically, Verizon was promised a specific allotment and should receive it. I'm sure there are allotment was very small, which is why they sold out within a half an hour it seems like, but let's hope they actually received what they expected.

I ordered 2 iPhone 6 128 GB models (Space Gray and Silver) at a Verizon store Friday afternoon. When I checked my order status this morning, both phones have delivery dates of 9-19 and FedEx tracking numbers (overnight delivery)!

i called verizon about the 6+ since my order status is not showing online. they said they see the accepted order (they charged my card for 1 dollar) but they dont have a status. the guy from VZ said he would call me back tomorrow once he sees something...thinks they are just behind.

my email confirmation had a 10/7 delivery date, still holding out hope i get it earlier since i ordered at around 3:20am EST.

I just noticed that my credit card was charged $1.00 last night like most of you all here too. I ordered 2 - iPhone 6 Plus 128GB's with a current ship date of 10/14. Would you all day this $1.00 charge is a good sign I'll get them much earlier? Even on the 19th?
