Same here, with 9/19 in my email though, thankfully. I'm not too worried. I'm sure by Monday it'll be properly sorted out as most will probably start being sent off to the UPS warehouses.

If you're telling me that Verizon sold through their entire supply of this phone within a MINUTE of the presale going online, well, I'm having a hard time believing that. Even with the huge demand for the phone.

Most likely, they are only charging/updating shipping status for those who ordered the 6. Maybe processing those orders first. All the "card charged, status changed" posts I've seen were for the 6.

In other words, if your card hasn't been charged and you ordered within the first 10 minutes of the presale going online, I wouldn't sweat it. Unless Verizon/Apple completely lied/messed up, I'm pretty sure those who ordered early enough WILL have the 6+ on launch day. Because if they don't deliver on that promise, they WILL be hit with a lot of backlash. It will not be pretty and I'm sure Apple doesn't want that after the celeb scandal.

I went through this before with the 5 preorder. Was in by 310am. Received the phone on launch day even after the date fluctuated between the 14th, 21st, and 28th. Card didn't get charged for days after, perhaps not til Tuesday (3 days before the phone arrived).

Worst case scenario, we don't get the phone on launch day. It would suck, but it's not the end of the world. Just a phone.

I would say Verizon probably ran out of their launch day Plus inventory around 3:20am because that's when the site became really sluggish and people started having issues.
 
I purchased mine around 1AM PDT and got a deliver by date of 9/19. I still haven't received my confirmation in those 15 hours. I'm a bit worried so I'm on hold with Verizon as we speak.

Last time I checked the website it just gives the standard "We received your order and its in progress". No date on the page.

I would agree. That's what I was afraid of happening. It's why I logged into Verizon at 2am EST and periodically refreshed to stay logged in. I saw the preorder iPhone links show up at 2:38am, though they all said come back after 301am EST to order. However, by 256 you could order and I got through with no issues. Then came here and saw, over the next 20 minutes, how things got increasingly crazy with sites being down/throwing back errors.

It's crazy how great the demand is for a phone that costs $299, minimum. Can't believe that many people either qualify for upgrades, are adding lines, or can afford to pay the unsubsidized price.

That's what I'm saying! And the 64GB model seems to be the one that goes first too :eek:

I got my order in around 3:05am, so I made the 9/19 cutoff as well :)
 
Placed my order at 3:08. My card was charged and the expected delivery date is blank. Just says ordering processing.
 
Just received notification that my card was charged at 9:28pm for the phone! Credit card activity confirms it, as well.
 
I preordered last night on Verizon and was done by 11:57pm PST. I immediately received a confirmation email saying "Deliver By: 09/19/2014". When I go to check on both Order Status Check site I currently see "Expected Ship Date: 10/14/14" although all day it's been bouncing between October 14th and September 19th.

With Verizon it seems that the confirmation email usually shows the right date and that the Verizon page gets overloaded and shows the wrong date for some people until a few days before (or on the day) the iPhones ship.

Is this true? Wondering if anyone experienced could shed some light... :)

Mine goes between not showing any date and showing 9/19. It's never shown any other date than 9/19.
 
So what do you think that means? That the dates on Verizon's website are all a fluke until later on?
 
I ordered mine a few minutes before 12:01am PST, and they have pulled the funds from my account. Still show the 9/19 date. That's going to feel like an eternity.

Actually... Strange that you mention that, because 10 seconds after I read your reply my ship date disappeared from Verizon's site... Weird.
 
I was hoping to order from Apple but the App just didn't work for me last night. So, I used verizon.com and placed two orders...on two separate accounts.

Silver Iphone 6 64 gig for my wife: Confirm email says 9/19. Card Charged full amount. Status page shows delivery of date of 9/19

Space Gray Iphone 6 Plus for me: Confirm email says 9/19. Card not charged. Status shows unavailable.

So...who knows. Seems odd that they'd have different status. BUT...unlike others on the board, my life will go on if I have to wait a week or two.
 
This might give some hope if you were in my same scenario.

I ordered the following via verizon's pre-order website at 1:55AM CST (5 minutes before 3AM EST):

(1) iPhone 6 Plus 64GB Space Grey
(1) iPhone 6 Plus 16GB Space Grey
(2) iPhone 6 16GB Gold

When I was ordering, the expected ship date for all the phones said 9/19 except iPhone 6 Plus 16GB Space Grey, it said 10/14.

I finished my order just before 2:05AM CST (took about 10 minutes).

My email confirmation shows delivery date of 9/19, but when I checked both the order status links provided in this thread, the delivery date showed 10/14 until just now, it just changed to 9/19.

Basically, like others have mentioned, if you got your order within the first 10 minutes, I think you will be fine.
