"Hvad hedder du" and "Hvor kommer du fra" are the correct sentences ;-) But yeah, if you said that, any dane would probably understand you :p

And yeah, we pay a LOT of taxes on everything, but it's part of the healthcare system we have. Free school (and university), students of 18+ gets paid when going to school (about $1000/month), and free hospitals + more (if you loose your job, you'll also get money from the state). But the internet and 3G/LTE are not the state's, but private companies, so has nothing to do with taxes. :)

I have been in Copenhagen and Aarus. Nice cities. In November the temperature reached -14° C in Copenhagen . With the benefits you have there I don't understand why Danemark has one of the highest suicide rates? Sad though...

The weather.

Haha yeah, probably!

But actually, the suicide rate has been halved since 1995, and Denmark has one of the lowest rates in the Scandinavia (Denmark, Norway, Sweden).

However, the summer has been nice this year! The past 3-4 weeks it has been 28-35 degrees celsius. So that's pretty nice.

Oh well.. Now I just need Apple to hurry up and release that Haswell rMBP - otherwise, I might be one of those in the suicide statistics :D

The weather.

Very likely.

I think also because of the loneliness... I felt sad sensations on Sundays in Copenhagen because the streets were almost empty...

But the Danish people are nice and polite. Those Vikings are big and tough people :)

Keep on Topic Warning

Ok folks, I am not a moderator. Please keep this thread on topic. I will not move all posts regarding wifi to another thread.

This thread is only for discussing the the new Haswell MBPr, and the fact that it will be awesome in every way, including Intel's drivers for the iGPU which will beat the pants off desktop discrete GPUs, making the MBPr a gaming-only machine, to achieve 70 fps at 4K resolution playing Bioshock Infinite.

Don't mess with people regarding this, it's a serious issue for some.

I am in the same boat my friend:eek:

A Q for the discrete vs. integrated debaters:

I've seen some wanting Iris Pro AND a dedicated GPU -- why? If you have a discrete GPU that kicks in only when needed, why isn't a 4000 or 4600 integrated GPU sufficient for everyday, non-demanding tasks?

Because with Iris Pro you get 128 megs of l4 cache, presumably.

May - WWDC next month! Here it comes

June - Dammit Apple! Not released at WWDC, nor following week

July - Dammit Apple! Not stealth released at Financial Call

August - The Great Wait *grow beards*

September - BTS ended! It's coming next month
October -

This seems reasonable. I can see the rMBP Haswell update in September or October but not with TB2. That wouldn't occur until the February processor bump 'update'.

I don't think they will do a bump next year in February. I think they might wait till Haswell V2 is out since that's pretty much the next bump in the road until Broadwell. Maybe 2014 WWDC.

Anyway, still waiting.

You could be right. It depends on several factors, especially what Intel has and when they have it.

But it also depends on how late the rMBP's are updated to Haswell. If it's earlier in September there's more of a chance of another small update before WWDC in 2014.

It also could depend on if/when Apple releases a 4K ACD. If one of those isn't ready until early next year then I could see a rMBP update with processor bumps and TB2.

But if Apple waits until middle to late October for the new Haswell rMBP's and there is no 4K ACD until later next year we may not see updates until Broadwell.

Where is this TB2 isn't coming until next year stuff from? Mac Pro is getting TB2 and it is coming later this year, probably with the release of Mavericks.

There is no reason the MacBook Pro won't have it and still release before Christmas.

That would be the best case scenario. However with Apple you never really know.

They will definitely refresh for Haswell V2 with probably Thunderbolt 2. But don't quote me :p. I think we might see a Retina ACD from Mac Pro release onwards, so who knows.

Where can I see the fortcomming Intel processor families (Ivy-haswell-broadwell-XXXX). I went to Intel website but could not find it.

It may be optimistic to think that Apple would align the MBPr and MP so nicely. Surely desirable though.

Yeah, this alone would justify the wait until October...but I think 4k and TBD2 is ambitious on the rMBP this year just given the timelines and targets originally cited by Intel

" Intel "has yet to nail down a specific date on Thunderbolt 2's release, but said it should be in production by the end of 2013, with a ramp into 2014.""

If the rMBP Will only have Iris Pro, Thunderbolt 2 won't matter. TB2 is mainly for 4K video, but Iris Pro driving a 4K display and the retina display smoothly is not realistic.
