Waiting for Haswell MBP Mega Thread

It's like transfer deadline day several times over.
End of the month surely for the new rMBP, after all the fuss when it was first introduced as 'the best computer we've ever made' I can't see it's being updated quietly with an Apple event only two weeks away.
This thread is just so interesting for psychologists and social scientists.
It's just a cycle of Kübler-Ross models. Starting all over again, every time again.
Right now, we're back in the Denial phase. We all know no new MacBook is coming today, but we won't accept it. Hell, we're even euphoric about the fact that we're sure there will be one today.
Tonight, it will be Anger all over the place.
Then we will start Bargaining. "Maybe they're waiting for a new display. That's actually good! Good Apple! Oh boy, am I happy they didn't announce it before." - "But maybe they can also include Thunderbolt 2 while they're at it"
Then the Depression again. "I WANT MY MACBOOK NOW! I'M SO UN-MACBOOKY RIGHT NOW!"
And finally the Acceptance. "We won't be seeing a new MacBook this year, I guess."
(and then, when we least expect it, they'll release)
(I'm in the Wishful thinking phase)

If there are no new rMBPs this year, there will be many sad pandas on this board (myself included). First world problem!
If there is a release today I think it's a bigger chance it's the Mac Mini rather than rMBP, but time will tell!

Silent Upgrade for mbp? Dunno kinda doubt that this will happen. If they really change their product line to rmbp only its propably worth an announcement in the upcoming keynote. Kinda thrilled to see what happens . There should be at least rumors or invitations for a keynote in the next 2 weeks, otherwise I doubt we'll see anything in Oct.

There is certainly a greater chance of having the Mac mini updated today than the retina MacBook Pro.
I hope there is going to be a little time during the October event to show off the new Haswell rMBP's, the new Mac Pro, and the new Apple Cinema Display all together. And in my fantasy the ACD is going to be retina
I'm still convinced that the Retina Macbook Pro won't be released until the next Apple event sometime this month.

Nothing huge, just an incremental step. A silent update today is possible. More likely is the event option still. Or Apple plays the "we don't care about low revenue share"-card and updates the rMBP in 2014. Impossible? No, they also did it with other products in the past.

Seems about right to me. And we're 1 hour and 21 minutes away from the new rmbps (or renewed disappointment).
If you're talking about today, no, it's a silent refresh so like the previous iMac silent refresh, it may have gone down for about 5min and came back up.
