Waiting for Haswell MBP Mega Thread

Talk about a strange dream. I dreamt that I went to https://buyersguide.macrumors.com// and there was a green dot next to MacBook Pro and Retina MacBook Pro. I woke up knowing it was a dream, but considered checking my ipad because it might have really happened.

I decided 5:30am was too early to induce depression so I stayed in bed until it was time to wake up.

I had 2 big purchases on my mind this year - rMBP(have been waiting since February) and E350 Mercedes(had been waiting since June). I picked up the Mercedes this past Friday.

I never knew how patient of a person I was until now.
 
Wouldn't it be crazy if nothing at all happend today. No. refresh of anything. Not that I want it, I promise you that I'm longing for that sweet rMBP too, but just because. After September the optimists said 15th, and after iMac it was the coming weeks and now it's in about 30 minutes.

A silent refresh would be sweet but I have stopped hoping lately...
 
Yup, nothing happening today. Oh well, it was fun getting excited. Only 2-3 weeks left regardless.
 
Honestly though, why would Apple release them at 6am Pacific time? Almost all of their announcements are done around 8-9am Pacific time. Keep checking back on the hour. If they're not up by noon Pacific, then we know they're not coming today.

Or Apple has it ready now, but with an event just around the corner it makes more sense to launch them there.

The iMacs were released before 6AM Pacific last week.
 
Not today :( I suppose we'll all gather here next week waiting for a silent update. Still think at this late date it's going to be released at the iPad event though.
 
See? No update. Like I said, Apple could have released it last week but they didn't. It's not ready yet. But only about 15 days more to go until the event so we don't have too much to wait. :)
 
I might just get the MBA and be done with it. They only reason I wanted the rMBP is for the retina screen but since I'm not used to having it, I guess I won't miss it. :rolleyes:
