Oh my god! No way!

I joined this forum for that thread!!!!

It was going to be my first MacBook!

and now this will be my second

Small world! I was content to lurk back then. And to be honest, I probably only read the last 2-3 "parts" of that monstrous Hydra thread.

And I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for the douchebag who broke into my apartment while I was out of town for my birthday in August. That Arrandale (with Crucial SSD installed) was still humming along quite nicely, thank you very much!

----------

The Apple rep here in the US said the same exact thing, that I'd get an additional 14 days if a laptop was announced to swap it out with no restocking fee.

That's an almost outrageously fair policy, I must say. I'd strongly recommend getting in writing though, to avoid potential disappointment. ;)

soo

Its my macbook and I need it now!

JgApple. Its your macbook, use it when you need it!

I'm loosing my flippin mind over here..

Store's down...

Probably just maintenance, but ya never know...

I have never understood why the Apple store needs to be taken down so often. I cant believe its for good technical reasons as I used to manage a large ecommerce site and unless you were making major changes downtime would be minimal and non-existent for simple product changes.

Personally I think its because whoever is in charge of the store has a vindictive sense of humour and likes to see us get all excited whenever something happens :D

+1 for creativity ;)

For my mid-2009 that is on it's deathbed:

It's tearin up my heart when I'm with you!
But when we are apart I feel it too...
And no matter where I go I feel the pain...
With or without you!

Now for the rMBP...

You are my fire...
The one desire...
Believe when I say...
I want it that way!
But we are two worlds apart...
Can't reach to your heart...
When you say...
That I want it that way!

Nope, I wasn't a girl in elementary school from 96-02 at all >.>

Just making a joke here, sheesh. Someone or something? Is it so important that you cannot specify if it's a person or an organization?

My original statement is something of a joke in itself. There is also the possibility that I do not know of the true form of my benefactor but merely know of the fact that I am getting some items for free But everything is said in the good truth.

I enjoy creating mystery. :cool::cool::cool:

I wouldn't. We've waited too long to get just a silent update. We need at least one minute of attention the 22nd.

I would hate to wait an extra week just for a 1 min mention.

No matter what update we get it has already been decided. So if its a silent or a 1-5 min mention on the 22nd , the product will be the same.

So why wait an extra week for no reason?

Remember.... Apple has done "silent type" updates during events in the past.

Huh. Apparently Cnet thinks the outtage is worth an article. I don't plan on staying up for another two hours to find out. See you guys in the morning!

It's probably nothing. Get some sleep.

I'm sure it's maintenance, if it were actually something new it will still be there when you wake up. Get some rest and we'll talk to you tomorrow!

I stopped following Cnet when they decided to replace text articles with videos.. absolutely worthless when scrubbing for information - but it was "web 2.0".... :D

Yeah, I hate that. If I ever do click on CNET article that is video, I just exit out.

+100000... me too. It's like, is that hard to write reviews anymore? It's often inconvenient at best to require audio and *time* to wade through a 5 min video for a single informative sentence.

It probably is a maintenance update if they just extended it. Wouldn't it be ready if it was a silent release?
