Published. psssht!

These guys are tripping over themselves to post idiotic rumors gathered from the same unreliable sources.

I personally think the 15" is going to see an IP5200 + 760m. Obviously haswell, and a price cut (Maybe $200 or so on both models.)

What would really blow me away is IGZO + Offering better dGPU for the 15" rMBP. THEN i would spend a bit too much money on it :p
(But this is all too unlikely)

I could almost guarantee there won't be a Iris Pro PLUS a dGPU for the 15". It makes buggerall sense, it's wasting so much money on duplicate features it's stupid. It would be a HD4600 plus dGPU or just the Iris Pro without a dGPU.

Right; I was thinking that i didn't mean to say both. was one or the other. It's not that serious take a chill pill :p

As I've previously posted I expect the Iris 5100 as the base 13" model with i5 and the Iris 5200 as a BTO with i7.

The 15" is likely to be a i7 with HD4600 with dGPU

I'm not entirely sure why you've quoted me in this response. As well as the fact that you're taking these "speculations" a bit too serious. :p

So, in how long are the invites expected to be sent out?

Typically 12 AM EST

I'm also one who's potentially wanting to have a matte screen for a change..oh well I guess you can't have both (Haswell and matte screen :p).

I miss these greatly, too...

No, it's not "likely." It's what you wish for. Precision is very important in language.

Isn't that the same source that said the iPad event would be on the 15th?

I had some contact with them on that and they told me they had heard than the event would be on Oct 15th from an other website without linking it to me. However this time it's the same source that told them about the iPod Touch update in late May this year before 9to5Mac even mentioned it.

This is not a predictions, this is your wish. :)
I changed it (with green) a little to make a more precise prediction out of it.

I just want the price to drop so I can afford an iPad too.

Unlikely.
HD4600 is out of the equation.
Wouldn't make sense. I'm out.

I'm willing to put my money on Iris Pro on all models.
We might even see the first the Iris Pro combined with a dGPU in more expensive models.

4750HQ - $1799
4750HQ + GT/GTX Class GPU - $2199
4850HQ + GT/GTX Class GPU + 512GB SSD + 16GB RAM - $2799
4950HQ available in custom configuration.

4750HQ - $1799 yes
4750HQ + GT/GTX Class GPU - $2199 nope
4850HQ + GT/GTX Class GPU + 512GB SSD + 16GB RAM - $2799 nope
4950HQ available in custom configuration. who knows

I bet Iris Pro in the base configuration, but HD 4600 + dGPU in all other. Iris Pro + dGPU is way too expensive!

HD 4600 doesn't make sense.

It doesn't make sense to have a worse integrated iGPU in the more expensive models. It makes sense on the iMac because it doesn't utilize the iGPU in the expensive models having no battery so it can suck up all the juice it needs.

Mark my words. It's either Iris Pro on all models or Iris Pro + dGPU on more expensive models. There's a reason the MacBook will be on the keynote unlike the iMac and this could be one of the many prominent reasons.

looks like im gonna either have to get a macbook air 13" or retina macbook pro 13" since the non-retina is getting discontinued most likely... decisions decisions

i have macbook pro 13" non-retina right now

So I am in the market to upgrade from the original 13in MBP to a 15in MBP for photography work (plus my day job).

I was planning on waiting until the upgrade to get the 15in non-retina — is it really likely to be discontinued? I haven't been following rumors closely. My plan was to do some HDD/SDD and ram upgrades myself. Do I need to order before the upgrade then? It's kinda troubling to think about, actually.
