I've watched enough Youtube videos and it seems fairly simple - even down to transferring files over.

I was thinking of bootcamp for windows, but I think parallels will fit the bill. I'm going to max out the ram and get maybe 2.7 or 2.8 processor, so I shouldn't have any issues with poor performance.

I'm an IT consultant so I need to get up to speed quickly. Won't it be funny if I'm showing my client how we're developing their multimillion dollar system, yet I can't copy & paste.

i would like admin ban sarakn ....really...

she doenst added anything usefull to the thread

Come on dude. Enough already. We are all here to help each other, or at least we should be. Save the insults for the real world, where you can do it face to face. It's more fun that way anyways.

And for the record, sarakn has contributed many things to this thread that I have found useful and helpful, so I vote for her to stay

Thanks, but I was just being facetious with that example. As a consultant, I tell my developers/analysts that we know a lot and take it for granted when we explain concepts to the client. I know I'm probably over-thinking this, but it still helps to watch those vids. The last time I touched a mac was over 10 years ago when people still said "open apple blah blah blah."

yeah of course....a enormous contribution crying all time saying there won't be released for next event with 0 arguments which by the way she demands for the opposite site (ones who think there will be release)

funny right ;)

She is waiting for a MBP. Like you, like me.
Now it's just YOU derailing. Shut up already.

what a pity...people talking what they dont know

read her in her history (you'll see how change the story and all lies)
now trolling and trying to gain credibility with an contribution about broadwell hahahahhaha

let me laugh....all people falling like flies thinking the new troll

I'm sure we will all be migrating to the "I just got my Haswell...How do you do this/Why is that not working" thread

I wonder what (contentiousanddebatableflaw)gate we'll have. I'm voting screen, those things are never right. Yellow, ghosting, etc.

Just stop. You havent been productive in the thread either so accusing others of it and asking for them to be banned is embarrassing and you should be ashamed of yourself.

What in the world...

Come on, that pic is awesome. It captures the mood of many of us as we've waited all these months. One minute, we're begging apple to take our cash, the next we want to poop on any thing apple - even golden delicious. I particularly love the gold theme. :p

I guess.....:D

Based on my dealings with Intel, they are delaying because there is more profit in waiting and selling current architecture since AMD is so far behind.

Sounds about right. We're way ahead of our competition, so let's sit on our ass while they catch up...

I have the mid 2009 15" as well. 2.53. It really has a beautiful display. Much sharper and more defined than the current cMBP. Lat I checked with Apple it was worth $700 as a trade in. That was a year ago. I'm sure I won't get anywhere near that, but if I can get $300 from them it would pay for the 512 SSD that I am getting

Apple gives you money for a trade-in?! Wonder how much they would give for mine if I throw a new SATA cable into it so it'll boot in the store... Gazelle said $200 a few weeks ago, and people on craigslist are low balling.

Oooooh, now it's a stupid lenovo. Let the snobbery begin. :D I hear you! Back in February when I thought I was getting a new mac in a couple weeks, I went all 'eff this Dell' and pulled the metal frame that borders the laptop. Bad move! I need rubber cement and 2 butterfly clips to keep the wire frame down and it's been that way since February. Check out my profile pic.

To be fair, this is still a good laptop except when it misbehaves on youtube. It's a dell xps 2.8Ghx proc and 8GB ram. The main problem is battery and cosmetic which can be repaired for under $50. I'll repair it and leave it at home as a backup laptop.

Snobbery? I've been borrowing what is supposed to be a business grade laptop and get annoyed just using the so-called trackpad. Lenovos are designed for a certain market, and I'm not a part of it.

I don't think it's coming out. They would have just said so in the invitation. It's not like Haswell is something huge.

They've never really revealed something like that in the invitation. "We still have a lot to cover" is about the closest you'll get since they're admitting they plan to update a lot of products.

Last year at the late-October event they updated the Mac Mini, revealed the redesigned iMacs, announced the 13" retina MBP, updated the full sized iPad, and announced the iPad Mini. They didn't specifically say in the invitation that any of those things were happening.

I was joking because I know the minute I get a new laptop, I'll think of the old ones as crap.

Yeah, all of these products have some kind of quirk when they are first released, but MAN do the Apple haters and media jump ALL OVER Apple when the slightest thing happens with an Apple product (Or rumor of the slightest thing) I for one never noticed the antennae thingy and my iPad 3 doesn't get hot

3 degrees

i mean honestly 3 degrees. it possibly can be recalibrated but people are returning their iphones in droves

I actually do have a complaint about my new 5s. I'm came from the 4s, which was glass on both sides, very sturdy and I never scratched it or broke the glass. I've had this one for two weeks now and there's already a small dent on the back, as it's not glass. I take good care of my devices but this probably happened when I had it in my pocket with my keys. This would have never happened with the old model. It's like the back panel is made out of aluminum.

They could simply be alluding to the rumored 12 inch iPad. There'd be a lot of screen to cover with their smart covers. o_O
(I don't think it's coming next week, just having fun here)
