Waiting for Haswell MBP Mega Thread

I know this might be a dumb question but... Do MacBooks come out in authorized retailers at the same time like in the apple store? I have a $500 gift card for best buy and an unused best buy credit card. I need to build some credit and it would be a good situation to use it.

There is normally a slight delay.
 
i feel like apple should simply release a 15" macbook air and that'll be the final nail in the cmbp coffin.

Have your airs take over the classics and the rmbp will be the new pros.

thinking of htat, i mean i'd want a 15" mba myself to be honest.

You cant really know what they will do.
Most likely it will go down in price on retailers, and it will more then likely see big price cuts the coming months, especially during the holidays.
If they are discontinuing the cMBP they will try to sell of the remaining stock. And a price cut during holidays is a great way to do it.

IGZO would allow for a higher resolution display. But IGZO isn't even a rumor, it's just on the wish list of most of us due to the improved battery life it would bring.

I'd love to see a higher density display so that 1680x1050 (3360x2100 actual) could be the native resolution just like the cMBP had a high resolution BTO option. Maybe Apple will surprise us but I don't think it's likely this year.
