IGZO would allow for a higher resolution display. But IGZO isn't even a rumor, it's just on the wish list of most of us due to the improved battery life it would bring.
I'm not so sure -- others are coming to market with IGZO now. I'd be happy to see a IGZO screen at the current resolution, to get the brightness and battery life advantages. Higher resolution would be icing on the cake.

Having your phone in the same pocket as keys, is not being careful :)
...and i base this on absolutely nothing."

You cant really know what they will do.
Most likely it will go down in price on retailers, and it will more then likely see big price cuts the coming months, especially during the holidays.
If they are discontinuing the cMBP they will try to sell of the remaining stock. And a price cut during holidays is a great way to do it.

C I can do that to.

How is your "prediction" better then mine?

I was just giving my thoughts. Can I not guess that they will NOT lower prices? Or does this offend you?

Can people not have a guess without others always trying to make them look dumb?

Only sell for me would be a 13 inch rMBP with:

i5-4258U (Iris 5100)
8GB RAM
256GB PCIe SSD
802.11ac
TB2
Facetime 1080p
<= $1499

Higher resolution would be icing on the cake. Maybe next year that could happen but I'm definitely with you on wanting the battery improvement. With Haswell, IGZO, and Mavericks battery life could be drastically improved.

Still holding out hope for a 16GB of RAM BTO option for the 13".

My turn:

15" rMBP
i7 (processor speed is not terribly important; they'll all be within a few .1's of a GHz)
1TB PCIe SSD
16GB RAM
802.11ac
IGZO (current resolution or better)
Thunderbolt 2
USB 3

1. Unlikely.

2. How/why would you think anyone here has any idea what Apple's pricing structure will be?
I hope you're right. :)
I'm just worried. It's true, there's nobody who can be sure of their pricing structure, but what if they turn out to be right.. I hope the price won't be a lot higher than the current, I've been saving for quite a long time now. :)

I generally find that in the days building up to an Apple event, every day seems to quickly pass. Its when it gets to the point where its only a matter of hours and minutes left waiting for the start of the keynote, when time slows down to a gradual halt.

Oh the anticipation. :D

People, it's been confirmed. No rMBP updates in the upcoming event.

If it is not released in October, perhaps silent upgrade before December or release in Feb 2014?

Mine was aswell, lol :(

:D

Although it's a joke, I'm not going to let myself think rMBPs will be released at the next event. I was so disappointed when it did not come out at WWDC - here I was listening to the damn conference, waiting to purchase and it took a few minutes to sink in after they moved from MBA to Mac Pro. That sucked!

I hope it's released and it would be so nice if the new rMBPs come with 1TB SSD option, more than 16GB ram(doubt I even need it), and higher CPU(not that I'll need it). As long as I get something sufficiently more than I can currently get at or below the current price, I think the wait would have been worth it.

mine (h)aswell lol :D

I hope they dont put a 128 GB SSD in the 13 inch. The 13 inch really doesn't have anything "Pro" about it at the moment (except for maybe the screen). Tbh both the macbooks should have 256GB-1TB SSD (PCIe), 8-16GB Ram, i7 cpus and iris/iris pro graphics. The gap between the 13 and the 15 is ridiculous at the moment.

And make the 13 inch as thin as the 15 inch, otherwise they are just taking the piss out of 13 inch buyers.

And plz stop with the IZGO nonsense. In a year MAYBE.

I have been waiting for so long I don't even care anymore about what the Haswell rMBP will be. The only thing necessary for me in my 15" rMBP is a 512GB SSD (I hope it'll be standard :D, but very unlikely).

Most importantly: Base 15" rMBP for 1999 dollars/euros max :apple:

This is EXACTLY what I would like - if thats what comes I'll buy straight away!

There is normally a slight delay.

That is being generous. Look at last years rMBP launch. People were waiting over a month for systems ordered from Apple on release day. There was a giant thread of people tracking Fedex planes lol. And of course, other vendors had supply problems also.

512GB SSB is already the standard. They need to make 768GB SSD the new standard. ;)
