I hope someone can post live updates here!
I'm sure there will be plenty of people posting in this thread during the event, on top of the live blogs that will be going on multiple websites.
I hope someone can post live updates here!
This is by no means certain. In fact, I would expect them to ship with ML, with a day 1 upgrade to 10.9 available. The new MacBook Pros will definitely ship with Mavericks -- else, why wait to update them.
KGI Research...what an oxymoron!
I will be reading live blog - THE VERGE.
Am I the only one oping fore a resolution bump to lets say 3200x1800?
BTW: Because my friend is about to take a refurbished rMBP 16GB; 512GB SSD; 2.6(Yes, the 2012 version) and he is scared that if he notices the ghosting problem he will be screwed. His father is coming back from the states in Bulgaria some time this month and my friend wonders if his 1 year Warannty will cover it here in Bulgaria. So what do you think?

An oxymoron? I do not think that word means what you think it means.
I know what the word means - oxymoron is a contradiction in the same word like Jumbo Shrimp - big and little at the same time.
KGI Research is an oxymoron of sorts because putting Kuo's name and Research is a contradiction.
To all the people wondering if it'll ship with Mavericks. I remember reading a few weeks ago on this thread that corporate users have to wait up to six months before a new OS can be used on their networks.
I speculate that because the MBP is used by corporate users, it will come preinstalled with Mountain Lion and released Tuesday, obviously with a free install of Mavericks for whomever chooses it. The fact another Mavericks GM was only released this weekend may suggest this could be the case.
I have no inner knowledge of how corporate networks operate and I'm just recycling information posted here. It may be complete ********, therefore my speculation complete ******** too. But food for thought.![]()
This is by no means certain. In fact, I would expect them to ship with ML, with a day 1 upgrade to 10.9 available.
Easy enough to announce the MBP's and tout all the benefits it will have with 10.9, while still shipping with 10.8. That would allow the new MBP production/packaging/shipping to proceed without dependence on release of the 10.9 Golden Master, permit those that don't want to be "testers" of the new OS (or otherwise constrained, e.g., corporate OS policies) to continue to use a "known stable" version of OSX (10.8), and still allow anyone who wants 10.9 to immediately upgrade.
Obviously, I don't know which OS will ship with the MBP's -- it may well be 10.9. But I'd give at least 3:2 odds that it will be 10.8 with 10.9 downloadable right after launch.
26 hours to go!!!
Will it be announced or released tomorrow? (Can I pick one up tomorrow or is it just the announcement of the specs + release date?)
I get the joke, and it's funny. Doesn't make you right though.![]()

Apple may be notoriously tight-lipped about what it's working on, but that's never stopped it from having just a little bit of fun with teasing what's to come. From subtle wordplay to carefully chosen imagery, Apple has a history of dropping hints and hiding details about its next announcement right on the invitations it sends out for each event.
We've collected most of Apple's invitations over the last decade to see just how those hints were hidden, where Apple left no hints at all, and just what it all might mean for the company's next event.
