Yes. That 2% iPod revenue figure is alarming. You don't know how many times I thought about getting an iPod and duct-taping it to the backside of a $19 no-contract phone. 5 iPhones in the house at $80 a pop is killing me.

I hate Apple.

I still like my ipod - 160GB of music at my finger tips. I just don't see the iphone replacing that(galaxy s3 here) or even the ipod touch. WTF is the ipod touch - I just want music.

Then again, maybe in a few months, I'll be the owner of the 5s, but I don't feel as if I'm missing anything with the galaxy.

Hmm, the fact that there hasn't been any leaked SKUs is a worry. Perhaps there won't be a new rMBP tomorrow. Early 2014 is worst case scenario, though, IMO.

If you go with that then Apple won't release any new products, and the whole purpose of the keynote is so Tim Cook and co. can laugh at the looks on our faces when they go "No more new products! We just wanted to tell you in this fancy theater for the fun of it!"

Thank you. You sure it's 19? The iPhone event was at 20(I live in Bulgaria). Too bad I won't be able to watch it live(I am on German course) I will just check what had happened here. :)

Hey. A Bulgarian. Kok ci? I love your country. I have worked on 6 movies in Sofia. Best women in the world. Best tomatoes too. But you have the worst drivers. Anyway, I am from Los Angeles and I am 10 hours behind you. The event is at 10am my time

I'm reasonably convinced that the iPod touch is not for those of us with smartphones or even tablets. It's mostly for kids who want apps but whose parents don't want a phone bill or the high cost of a tablet.

I would also assume that their numbers include all iPods, but I could be wrong. In any case the iPod Classic sales are minute in the grand scheme of Apple. I'm surprised (but grateful) that it's still around as the only non-flash iPod.

To keep on topic, I hope Apple realizes that there is still a market for dedicated laptops. Hopefully they can revitalize the market with this rMBP!

Damn, can't believe I'm actually gonna be on a train under the sea moving to a different country at the exact time of the event!

I'm with you. This time last year, rMBP was not even on my horizon - in fact, I did not even know that was the name of Apple's laptop line. "Command+Q?" What's that? I was still thinking it's 1999 and saying 'open apple Q'.

After countless hours watching YT videos, learning the difference between time capsule and time machine, and all points in between, I'm so close to giving away my barely used Dell XPS desktop and about the throw money at all things mac. This is no longer a want, this is a must-have or something bad is going to happen.

ha!

Last week, I thought I had the weekend to blow through and Monday (working from home) before the big day. It feels like I've posted more in the past 96 hours than in the past few weeks.

Well, in a few hours I'll board my flight and will probably check in tonight as we ride this countdown wave.

And if the stars are aligned and something is released or available for purchase tomorrow, I will not have a mac in hand until Oct 31st at the earliest.

How can I convince you to throw your Dell laptop this way?

[Pedantic Mode: ON]

A "keynote" is the "top" speech given at an event, such as the "keynote" that opens the WWDC event.

An event which itself is the only presentation (in this case, a presentation of products) IS the event, not a "keynote" speech with other meetings/presentations/activities before/after the speech.

Tomorrow's talk is an "event" not a "keynote."

[/Pedantic Mode: OFF]

Sorry -- I just couldn't ignore the last 13,000 posts' misuses of "keynote" any longer! ;) :D

But they have so much to cover! The invitation said so!

I think I've reached my limit on waiting now.
No new MBP tomorrow will mean I'm going to buy one anyway.

I'm simply bored to ****ing tears of the wait and almost don't even want a mac now. I'm certainly not excited, I just want the wait to be over.

I sympathize! Most of my day tomorrow will be spent shepparding my nephew through a court hearing in a court 75 miles away :(

Look at my picture and you'll see what my dell laptop looks like... it's just cosmetic though. The desktop definitely can go and it's such a waste of money sitting in a barely used home office. These days, it's all laptop. And if I need a larger screen, I connect to the TV via HDMI. Who needs a 27" monitor when a 46" TV would do.

Waiting for Haswell MBP Mega Thread

And we care because?

And I care because?

Man, that looks terrible.

How does it look terrible? It's a laptop, that can convert into tablet mode. Has a super high resolution display, is specced waaay better than a Macbook Pro and is much better value for money. Yeah that's terrible alright

----------

Yoga - how clever. Must be Lenovo's way of pointing out how flexible the laptop is. I don't have a need for an acrobatic laptop and I do a fine job with a open-close laptop.

Congrats on the new machine - you clearly like ugly things. :D;):D

.. JK. One of the reasons I chose Apple is it just looks nice.

Apple's design is fairly bland at this stage. The design hasn't changed apart from slimness over the years. They're still using essentially the same design as 2008. It's flexible because it has a double hinge and it's strong because it needs to be, you Troll.

----------

I could also order a Yoga

if it would run Mac OS X. No way otherwise!
You must be kidding!

Mac OSX ain't that great anymore. Sorry.

I honestly couldn't care less about the retina screen. I wish they had the updated model (SSD, no optical, etc) with a regular screen for less.

No offence, but with those opinions what are you doing here?
