Is anybody reading about the plane crash that just happened? Due to the proximity of the crash to the presentation location I wouldn't be surprised if they postponed it or else it could be considered to be bad taste. Who knows how this may affect flights right now too. I know I'm an awful person for worrying about the event and not about the loss of life but whatever.
Link?

I do see your point, but plenty of people in this thread need none of those things to be excited tomorrow. Sure, IGZO would be nice, but I really don't expect that until next year.
Im afraid Apple is not innovative nowadays and in a post Jobs era Apple can easily fall behind Dell. My guess is that Apple wont release these IGZO panels until 2014 and still claim they have the best panels.
Im afraid Apple under Cook has lost it.

It happened in 1968 so I think we are okay
This is just too funny.... you can't even take a joke even when all hints point that it was a joke. Oh well, what can you say. It makes me wonder why you sound so bitter. Oh well, more macs for us.

Also its not about if they can do it but about if they want to do it or simply are too much into ipad/iphone to care enough about Macs these days.
You can't take a joke either it seems. If you jibe someone and act all surprised when u get some back. And it's only funny if the other person finds it funny too. It's like me saying your other half is ugly, oh jk lol. It's like trolling someone then saying calm down, why u mad?
No offence, then say something offensive... y'see how that works![]()
You're the outlier![]()
We know IGZO has great battery life saving properties. If IGZO displays are equal to or greater to the existing IPS panel, then they should stick it in and announce it tomorrow. There is no way Apple could possibly let Dell and their new XPS 15 have exclusive access to the display. Apple with their keen negotiating skills, engineering of products that "can only be accomplished with Apple engineering", $$$$$, and Tim Cook as master of the supply chain, there is NO WAY Apple could have possibly "missed" the IGZO train and is holding out until 2014 for its release.
Its one thing for an iPad or iPhone to hold out on an upgrade for another year because they are that much better than their competitors, but were talking about the Retina Macbook Pro here, marketed as "The highest resolution notebook in the world". Were talking about losing to Dell here, starting with back to school sales and now this release of the XPS 15 on October 18. Apple is way behind. Unless they want to fall even further behind as more and more PC manufacturers starting with Dell, they need this update.
If Apple doesn't upgrade the display, they may as well take Retina out of the name... Of course none of this applies if IGZO turns out to have worse display quality than IPS, which should mean that Dell sales should go down... but it seems highly unlikely.
Apple needs to do announce this tomorrow if it really is the best display in the market now and not wait till 2014. They have had over 6 months to incorporate it. Dell engineering can, Apple engineering should too... unless Apple is really wanting to fall behind. Maybe even have some exclusive deal with Sharp to have an even better screen than what the Dell XPS got.
This is eery. Not even a leak. Of anything. We're assuming because it's a safe bet that they'll have Haswell, 802.11ac, and PCI-e SSDs but everything's still a giant mystery.
IGZO?
Space gray color change?
Thinner?
Like seriously, does anyone ever remember it even being this quiet before a release? Even when it's one of those spec bump Tuesdays where the store goes down & an hour later there's new product on there?
I recall SKU leaks & configurations in the past the night before.
I remember a picture of a thunderbolt port which we knew was lightpeak. And no one believed the specs on the photographed box.
It's Wayyy too quiet. It's all iPads all the time now... Maybe not many people care as much about MacBook Pros?![]()
Meanwhile, Apple is raking in money hand over fist while "not being innovative".
Read my lips...there will be no IGZO or redesign this time around - as much as I'd like there to be.

Yeah the Haswell iMacs were a surprise too. Like the whole double down on secrecy thing applies to Macs but not to iPhones & iPads it seems.Haswell iMacs?
The night before the 2008 unibody's were released...
