I think this is just for apple. I live in IL and sales tax in Cook County is 10.25 or something like that. Just bought a Mercedes a month ago and I could have slapped someone.

Confirmed, no Mac"Cooks" till November. Sorry! There will be a surprise Apple TV event though.
Sigh, and much, much worse for some things like games. We've been over this plenty.
Actually, I'm not trying to be a party pooper at all. Rather, I'm encouraging users to consider closeout deals on the previous models, as they may offer a significantly better value.
Ok IPad Air for the big one, with retina display.
And the small one? Will it get retina too?
For some tasks, you actually have a superior machine. It all depends on a particular person's usage. I don't think acknowledging that factor being happy about itis perverse at all!I had to buy my 15" rMBP last month because I needed it for university. In a perverse sort of way I'm actually glad that the new ones are only marginally upgraded.
Bit disappointed there's no 4k display or quad core in the 13", not that I really expected either. It likely means I'm going to go with a 15" even though I don't really want the bulk.
Wow... iLife and iWork free??? So I don;t have to use my free version?
I like this, but what's the catch?

iPAD - come on, end on a beautiful note.
So...
If you have no preference as to what OS you use, would the consensus be that the XPS 15 is overall a better laptop?

yes, every single product is getting the retina treatment.
Only the mb air will be left for next year.
Once this is done, we can move on to IGZO !
