I had to buy my 15" rMBP last month because I needed it for university. In a perverse sort of way I'm actually glad that the new ones are only marginally upgraded.

By the way, Mavericks is amazing. I get 9 hours of web browsing and about 4 hours of actual work (compiling things, watching videos, streaming music constantly), imagine what the new MBPs are going to get with Haswell!

If it makes you feel better....:)

Much much worse? About 15% worse performance than 650M.

Not that much if you're not a hardcore gamer!

I'd argue the opposite. If you're a hardcore MMORPGer and/or doing things like PVP, those extra frames may end up being the difference between winning or losing a match, or certainly making things easier or harder.

I've not understood.

Can someone summarize new IPad?

Both the mini and the normal one were updated? Does the mini received a retina display?

This is a great update if you're in the BTO market, no question. But if you're comparing base model to base model, it really isn't, especially if you're not in education and were looking at using third-party resellers.

Well, I'm glad I got my laptop with a GTX 765M instead of waiting for this refresh. The 750M is completely weak. The 4850HQ is comparable to my 4800MQ, so no concern there.

It will be interesting to see the updated pricing of the rMBP in Australia. The AUD has taken a hit in the last few months, wouldn't be surprised if we saw a $300-400 price hike. Hopefully Apple doesn't smash us too much.

Meh, I'm just happy the dGPU is hanging around.
