Why is it 2.3Ghz when the old version was 2.7/2.8. Is this still the fast speed considering the newer proc?

WHAT???? 1TB for $500!?!??!?!?

Haswell is faster!

Take a look at Macbook Air geekbench:

2012 MBA 1.8GHz: Scores 4000
2013 MBA 1.3GHz: Scores 7000

!! :D

It's a good update, but I'm definitely glad I didn't wait.

The discrete GPU is important for me but I couldn't have afforded an extra £550 (and that's with HE discount!) over the 2012 refurb cost for the new model with the 750m.

I don't know much about computer specs, Money is no option. I have some questions, I like gaming, photoshop, illustrator net surfing... Is the up grade better over the last batch of models? I was looking at the rmbp 2.7 quadcore..

Is the graphics card better in the upgrade? the 750 gt?

If you game, and money is no object, then the new 750 > old 650 > new Iris Pro.

The 13" rMBP only offers 16GB Ram in the high end BTO model. $2699 for a 2.8/16/1TB sounds too much for me........ so it will be a refurbished in 3-4 months!

It will probably be similar to the Haswell vs Ivy Bridge MacBook Air. Similar performance (within margin-of-error benchmark scores), but much improved battery life.

The speeds are comparable according to benchmarks. It's a more efficient processor, clock for clock.

Wow looks like there's no real middle ground when it comes to the graphics.I'm going to have to pony up £2199 :S
