Lol. I heard that the reason for the delay is that they are adding a stovetop burner on them so you can boil your eggs
That option is available :D

Why so much? $1499+$200 for the Ram+$300 for the 512 SSD + the Apple Care. Am I missing something?

That is awesome. I need one NOW!!!:D

Yeah, that's $3200. 1499+200=1699. 1699+300=1999. 1999+250=3249.

There are a few things you need to consider when you talk about battery life and TDP. First: what Apple tells you about battery life is with light use (loading a webpage every few minutes) and with reduced brightness. Not TDP is important there, idle power is. With the move to the U-Series (as far as I know) this would bring new (lower) power sleep states (C10). Normal mobile CPUs only go up to (C6).
However, according to Intels side, the i5-4258U (shown in the geekbench results) does NOT support LPDDR3 RAM, that the MBA uses. Furthermore the display does use a lot more energy.
I guess, battery life WILL improve, but not as much as it did with the Macbook Air

Actually, the MacBook Air was tested and yielded results of over 14 hours of video playback by CNet. I would assume the 13"RMBP would sport a significant change as well due to lower voltage haswell processors. I'm expecting at least 10 hours if there is no dGPU.

Hes refering to the first link you posted as an awser to "I'll reserve my comments until someone or some website compares them side by side with the current retina display macbook pro." that is what he wanted but what you linked has no igzo computer in the list!

I think your reading comprehension is lacking, and your capability of discernment is non existant.

I simply gave the link to the review, as per 3 posts already, for the kirabook. I have given the review link for the rmbp 13, I know its difficult to compare the results of the same tests in different web pages, but do please try. the info doesnt need to be on the same table.

aside that as I said photos or videos doesnt give you a good impression or reflect the actual display, due to the way that photos/videos are taken and how the display works

this has got beyond ridiculous

Seriously! This site is called MacRumors.

Here's some speculation for you. Maybe they don't want to release new MBP's until the fingerprint technology rumored for the 5s is ready. I have this speculation based on the good authority of all the other speculators here.

For everyone complaining about speculators and fabricators at MACRUMORS, consider your audience.

Should be called MacLiars then or MacCantSubstantiateMyTheory... It may be a rumours site granted but even rumours need to be somewhat evidence based to have partial credibility. Some comments here are completely dreamed up;)

You should probably read the definition of "rumour" ;-)

"an unofficial interesting story or piece of news that might be true or invented"

Hello guys. I'm looking to buy a new MacBook for my study. Also some gaming would be nice, but not the heavy stuff. I'm wondering what you are expecting with the next MBP. Will the graphics of the 13" be substantially better than the graphics of the new MBA? I saw there is a IRIS graphics from intel too. Do you think that will be equipped in the base model MBP?
I'm thinking about either the 13" MBA or this yet unannounced MBP.

Yes totaly.

I was stateing what he was thinking but you dont seem to grasp that.
The reason for the confuseion is that link dident contain a igzo panel.
That is all. And that is the whole reason he is saying "cant you just point it out." and "im confused".

Im giving up here. Seems like you cant grasp what im saying.

thats because its an igzo panel on the kirabook, you cant seem to understand that

No i know that and i fully understand that you posted 2 different links to 2 different tests.
But the one you posted last is what he have been looking on (most likely) or he just asked for what of the computers had the igzo display on the first one.

He wanted a side by side comparison, and you as an answer posted a link to a test with no igzo display and said he just hadn't read the test.

plz tell me you understand that cos i really cant explain it better then that.

its not that i'm lazy but i don't always follow every single post/page on this thread.
i have no idea how i suppose to know you have posted the kirabook link in the previous page before.

Thank you.
Now that's settled.
Lets plz drop it cos its gotten really sill this discussion :)

You should probably read the definition of "rumour" ;-)

Then its true....

The MacLiars.com name should be adopted by this site;) Rumours may be interesting but they are pipe dreams... Surely as humans we all strive for credibility in the pursuit of engineering progression? Posters that throw out there nightly dreams damage real credible thought and process.

Credibility is gained from structured and reasoned hypothesis; not dreams to suit a golden egg;)

So dreaming up supply figures and specifications on technology that we have little insight into is frankly complete hogwash...

Rumour based on actual statistics and specifications is a credible rumour based on partial facts. Other than that its all Disney material;)

Im currently in the hunt for a 15 cmbp and still holding off to see if theres an upgrade to haswell. I let some good deals go waiting and wondering at this point if it matters. Im not concerned about battery life as ill have the machine plugged in most of the time. And dont plan on planning games on it. Mostly will be used for music production and djin. Do you guys see apple allowing. 32gbs of ram is that overkill ?

Do you really have a use for 32GB RAM? I develop software usually with a virtual machine running and have found 4GB sufficient, I'll be upgrading to 8GB when the new laptops are released. 32GB is a lot of memory!

MBP is not strictly developed for developers :D Ask photographer or graphic designer is 4 GB of RAM sufficient ;)
