I don't understand the problem with the Magic Mouse 2. It's supposed to be charged once every month and it will warn the user that the battery is low well before it stops working. In the rare case that the user forgets to charge it, just 2 minutes of charge will be enough to use it for 9 hours.

Putting the port on the back would compromise on the aesthetics of the device and Apple would have had to redesign the whole thing. It would also encourage people to leave the cable connected while the mouse is being used even if the battery is fully charged.

Why would it not be a good decision to put the port at the bottom?

(I agree that the battery case is terrible)

People just like complaining. The charger is used a fraction of the time, so why would you want to stare at the port while you're using the mouse for its intended purpose? Plug it in overnight and you're good for a month. You don't need to buy batteries. How that inconveniences anyone is beyond me.

This. People just want to be outraged about something.

New piece of rumour from the Accidental Tech Podcast, and reported by MacG:

- there would be no OLED band but rather OLED displays on every keys, Optimus-like,
- the keyboard would get close from the Magic Keyboard style, rather than the rMB one.

The MBP is a gaming machine target at 40 year-old geeks now? Go buy a liquid cooled whatever for your bedroom. You'll be far happier.

There's me thinking the MBP was a productivity tool targeted at high quality, high performing, aesthetically-minded professionals who need exquisite, portable tools that work to a much higher degree of quality/reliability than anything else on the market.

Don't you get tired of copy-pasting every time the same mantra?
Come on, at least try to be more original the next time.

Yes. And touch bar on top of keyboard will make me do more work in the day, rather than more compute horsepower.

Do not forget about "more battery life in less space".
Because f*ck you, physics.

Sorry for the stir up..

I was referring to the black bars underneath the magic mouse. There was a video with I believe Jony Ive, talking about how the design team worked extremely long and hard on getting the sound of the friction right.

I would link the video but I simply can't find it after a half hour of looking. It's probably a video in a keynote event recap.

Didn't know about the charging port since I never owned a magic mouse or read any reviews. So I take back my comment hahaha.

And Dean Yu, it wasn't my intention to attack you... Sorry if I came off that way.

New rumour: significant changes in WWAN protocols in latest El Capitan beta suggest possible 4G rMBP.

Source: http://www.macg.co/mac/2015/08/des-mac-4g-et-4k-dans-la-derniere-beta-dos-x-el-capitan-90354

Side rumour: new « more space » resolution modes (5120 x 2880 ; 4608 x 2592) suggest potential upgraded iMacs.

More rumors, found in El Cap beta?
That is fantastic.
Ohh the memories of how they first stumbled on the rMBP breadcrumbs

Shouldn't that be Cmd-Backspace? That's what I use.

I have tried cmd+Backspace and it is working for deleting. Actually my concerned was due to deleting multiple files instead of doing right click every-time and click Delete command i was looking for short cut for it. Thanks it is working now.

Stepping back briefly to the meaning of 4Q16 in Kuo's statement, the following quote demonstrates he sometimes (at least) means calendar quarter...

https://www.macrumors.com/2015/08/03/imacs-faster-processors-improved-displays-kgi/

"We believe Apple will introduce new iMac models in 3Q15, which are expected to have key selling points such as more powerful processors and much better display quality. We predict the panel will use a LED phosphor material called KSF to notably boost color saturation."

That article was from August and the updated iMacs were not actually announced until 4Q15

On the plus side it shows he's not 100% reliable :p

Not much point in analyzing it too much at this point. They either speak at WWDC and we have the information, or they DONT speak at WWDC, and we know its 4Q. Either way, we have our answer at WWDC.

Yes, that's roughly what I wanted to share. :)

The Magic Keyboard 2 is pretty awful and very close to the feel(or lack of) of a rMB and has a very binary click, rather than the progressive feel of the MBP. I tried them all today, and it´s far worse than the older Magic Keyboard which I have. I seriously hope Apple are not this stupid to give a professional machine something that awful..

Hello all, while this is not my fav speculative thread, I'm another fanboy waiting for an new rMBP since erroneously I sell mine and intended to replace it with an iPad, you know...

Sometimes I seek rumors where it's more probable you can find one good, but a BIG WARNING, the rumors I collected comes from an anonymous source who posted them at some forum which ends in .onion (Tor Hidden sites, or something like Silkroad for rumors). most rumors there are 99% waste, but sometimes an source is consistent and coherent with expectations, this is the case of the source that talk about Q3 for new Macbook Pro's release.

the same guy also tells about the new keyboard, don't have big speciations on its OLED, its more a way to illuminate it on a very slim surface, he think this OLED isn't graphical but only simple drawings printed not electrically generated graphics (programmable) as the OLED on the Optimums Keyboard, but don't disappoint yet, this Black Stripe over the keyboard not only looks terrific, but actually improves the KBD functionality, as the symbols light-up and change in color (white, red, green, blue), its also a capacitive tactile panel, with GESTURES enabled, you can: touch the screen dim icon and swipe left or right to Dim the screen, same with volume icon, also you can use it to go forward and back on the safari browser, he stands only has seen some printed material but don't seems the icon are pixel-generated (editable/ animated) but simple printed patterns with OLED ink, the good news is the same function stripe will be available on the next wireless keyboard to arrive with the updated iMac.
