Anyone have confirmation of the following yet (website not fully accessible/updated)

- Have battery capacities changed?
- Has the web cam been improved (Notice no FaceID mentioned)
- Any changes to the touch bar at all?
- What is the dGPU?
- Battery capacities have increased, according to the 9to5mac article, but due to the supposed increase in CPU (and maybe RAM) power draw, they are keeping the battery life estimates the same. (My guess is that there might still be some increase in battery life, depending on the use case and such, but nothing to count on.)

- Don't know about the webcam, but probably not as I didn't saw a mention anywhere.

- Touch Bar got TrueTone support, as did the display itself. No (mentioned) changes beyond that.

- Radeon Pro discrete graphics with 4GB of video memory in every configuration for the 15" and Intel Iris Plus 655 integrated graphics with 128MB of eDRAM for the 13".

(All according to the 9to5mac article)

The lack of quad core in the non-TB models is disappointing, but not completely unexpected.

32 GB is unexpected though. I suspect they could default to relatively aggressive sleep / hibernation settings.

Or do the new CPUs extend battery life to compensate for the memory?

The 13" now has a 58Wh battery and the 15" 83.6Wh, so yeah they increased the battery capacity.

From what I've read, the non-TB models did not get an update at all? So it will have the old keyboard, old processor's, no truetone etc.

Awesome. Seems like what everyone asked for is here! I’m still happy with my 2017 considering I got a great price on it and made the money back in the 1.5 months I had it.

Gonna wait for reviews and then maybe sell this baby in a few months with AC still on it + buy the new ones once I get the reviews in! :D

32GB wasn't unexpected but the 4GB RAM as default for all GPUs was, along with their updated storage configurations for both. The i9 is a nice surprise too, not completely unexpected, but it does mean that we're likely to see an i9 iMac.

No iMac or MacBook updates. I’m still expecting the iMac to be updated by fall but I’m not so sure about the MacBook.

Educators and students champing at the bit to hit the Buy button: The Back-To-School promotion probably starts in about 3 weeks or so. Great timing!

Are you sure about that? About 99% of people here on this forum were convinced that new MBPs won't ship with 32GB of RAM until Cannonlake next year (or later). For me it definitely is a surprise (and a welcome one, even if I'm most likely only gonna order a 16GB one).

I was hoping for a bigger battery to be honest, it seems that these were just to equalise the power, rather than revert to the previous 99wh/76wh capacities we had before.

The one area I think it they definitely should have improved on was the web cam, 720p in this day and age, when FaceTime is quite a relevant part of the iOS experience, is bizarre!
