Please come to SG to get your MBP.
It would be cheaper getting the ticket, having some laksa, doing tax returns and going back.

What are the chances the MBP I ordered earlier this week will be automatically switched to the new model? Anyone had or heard of any experience like that? It’s still quoted for delivery Saturday through Monday.

I can’t cancel it, at least not online. Too late to call now, anyhow. Just curious. No, just cancel it, whats the problem?
The £ is stronger against the dollar since late 2016 when Apple adjusted prices - this is because they have added more egregious options (32GB RAM and 4TB storage) in the USD price (and ignored the exchange rate to boot)Just a lil Brexit mark up
if you want eGPU...maybe you should wait for the updated mac mini....with eGPU , cheaper solution for sureWhat do people think of buying a 13" with the e-GPU enclosure Apple advertise, instead of the 15"?
I’d guess the larger battery is probably to cancel out the small change there would otherwise be and keep the battery life static?Active power consumption is pretty much the same, on idle LPDDR3 has some advantage and that's why it's used in smartphones but because laptops are used different than smartphones and most of the power consumptions comes from CPU+GPU and screen, there shouldn't be much of a difference.
So i wonder if the DDR4 15" MBP will have the same battery like 13" MBP with LPDDR3
UK pricing is ridiculous, even with the tax difference taken into account. I could fly to America/Asia, stay in a hotel for the night and eat out and it would still be cheaper... idea
