I have three BMW's, two with the wireless charging pad. It is useless and has been useless even before I got the 15PM. Better to just get a USB-C power plug for the outlet right there is charge wired.
I've found another NEW issue with iphone 15 xD Speakers rattle when played above 80% volume...
Not really about saving time personally. It’s just really nice to have the muscle memory to set your phone or AirPods down on a stand and not worry about plugging it in. When you need it you always know when to find it and that it’s charged. In most cases I use wireless charging where I don’t need fast charging like at my desk or bed side. I do have a cable for back up when I need to quick charge when I’m in a hurry but it’s very rarely used. What is the point of wireless charging? To save a couple of seconds that it would otherwise take to plug in a wire? Taking that couple of seconds to plug in a wire will save several minutes or even hours because wired charging charges the phone much faster than wireless charging.
these are the posts I love to read. the subtle (or not so subtle) flexes of cars/wealth owned lol.
nice brands.
How did BMW have months? This is a hardware issue, not a software issue.
iOS was introduced months ago, not iPhone 15.
Using an photo sharing app shouldn't have any bearing on whether to respect or disrespect anyone. You think he should respect?
Slow charging speed will improve the battery life significantly. You get not 10-20-30%, but 200-400% more charging cycles. I use slow (the slowest available) wireless charging for convenience and longevity, and for decreasing the USB C port wear. (to heat the battery while charging is a bad point, and my i4 makes it hot, so I barely use it.) "Sadly" the i4 USB C port uses the Power Delivery standard, which is a fast charging method, so if I can, I do not use it at all. What is the point of wireless charging? Are you kidding?I finally see the rationale for an Apple Car.
Tell me you don't understand induction without telling me you don't understand induction. How in gods green earth can these things be related?
Confirming same issue here. BMW wireless chargers are garbage and will basically heat your phone to dangerous levels. If other BMW Chargers are as useless as the one in my X5, I'm not surprised. I was excited to have it but after charging in it once or twice, it seems to be better at cooking my phone than charging it. I turned it off and use the space as a holder now.
With it off however, I was able to transfer my keys to my 15 Pro with no more difficulty than the usual multiple try operation I through with previous phones.
The same could happen with a one off-spec wired charger (and probably has). I also guess a wired charger can more easily cause damage than a wireless charger.Apple users: “remove the charging port we just need wireless charging nobody uses wires anymore what is this the 1800’s?”
One off-spec wireless charger: hold my beer
It's very convenient, especially in a car: Just put the phone down and it charges. If you have cables, they are either always hanging from the charge port, or they you have to pull it out from a compartment. It's more likely you won't charge your phone with a wired connection, unless you are really low on battery, since you won't bother plugging it in. Also while charging it's a little messy to have the cables hanging around. I believe you can get up to 15W wireless charging, which is faster than the wired charging of yesterday, and plenty to get your phone running while driving. It might not be for you, but I think you are in the minority. What is the point of wireless charging? To save a couple of seconds that it would otherwise take to plug in a wire? Yep same. My X5 cooks my S22U and Iphone 11. I also have a Ram 3500 with a wireless charger and it works fine. all my desktop wireless chargers work fine as well without overheating. It's probably just the lack of ventilation in the cubby hole the wireless charger lives in. Bad design and you just can't put a phone in there. But the phones gives a warning about heat, stops charging, or if really bad, shuts off services or powers down. Overheat protection is there, so I dunno if it's heat that causing damage to the NFC chip. Definitely not going to be a guinea pig when my 15 arrives. lolIf other BMW Chargers are as useless as the one in my X5, I'm not surprised. Because god invented electromagnetic fields and humans decided to both radiate them for NFC payments and collect them for wireless charging power from large coils on the back of the phone. Or at least that seems by far the most likely. How in gods green earth can these things be related?
The port on the phone will eventually wear out if you use the cable all the time. What is the point of wireless charging? To save a couple of seconds that it would otherwise take to plug in a wire?
