Yes and I will be all :p tomorrow, then back to  with you guys by thursday if nothing changes with my order.

At which time I will welcome you back accordingly.

In other news, we ordered a new mattress last Tuesday and it delivers tomorrow. Super pumped for that! (Will make me feel better for a day or two).

For those who care the mattress is a Leesa. One of the various (Leesa, Casper, Tuft & Needle) online mattress startups that have taken off in the last year or so. Very interested to see if all of the reviews are legit. 100 nights risk free!

A thought just drifted through my head about these SS link orders...since they all started with 4-6 weeks windows, even if the link bands are ready today, do you think they will they ship any watches in this group until the 4/24-5/8 orders are fulfilled?

EDIT: Nevermind, obviously other 4-6 week watches are already shipping per other threads.

I believe Apple would make an effort to fill the orders in the same order they were placed. If the Link bands were ready to go I think they'd ship prior to watches that had been ordered after them but had an earlier ship date. That's all speculation.

I want to hear an update on the Leesa. I'm probably getting a Tuft & Needle or Yogabed, but I know nothing about Leesa.

I don't think that any link watches statuses will change to 'Preparing for shipping' until next week as we approach the 12th/13th May. Even then there may be another 16 days of waiting. It's after that I can get on the phone to Apple and discuss failure to meet delivery dates.
In the mean time just to kill time I have kept myself occupied ordering stands, extra straps and chargers :)

Do you guys who ordered the SS link watch have a deliver-by date range yet or does it still show 4-6 weeks or May? I heard the link band by itself has been showing 4/29-5/12 but no updates

12 May to 25 May range for 38 mm SS Link.

I ordered a 42mm SS with Link at 8.02 on the 10th and it went straight to 12th-26th May and has been stiuck on processing ever since. Almost three weeks now lol

4-6 weeks May 13-27...I would not read too much into the individual link bands saying they deliver 4/29...I have a separate order for a black sports band with the same range and it hasn't even updated yet. I think they'll keep fulfilling watch orders with the bands available before sending separate bands.

Hey guys, I've joined this thread :), have a May slot, I was very disappointed with what apple considers leather, so going to return the leather band and get a link.

Ordered: Apple Watch Stainless Steel with Link Band.
Order Date/Time: 4/10/2015 @ 12:15am(PDT)
Apple email acknowledgement @ 12:21am(PDT)
Available to ship: 4 - 6 weeks
Delivers: May 13 - May 27
Status: Processing
Location: Indianapolis, IN USA

Has anyone actually received a Stainless Steel Link Band?

It appears as if the SS Link Band is the worst lead time item (besides the "Space Black" Watch and LB) that Apple is selling. Since I purchased the SS Watch with the SS Link Band, I instantly placed my order behind many others due to this Apple supply chain issue/production problem. Had I known this up front, I would have ordered the SS Watch with Sports Band and simply ordered the SS Link Band as a separate delivery. Were others aware of this issue at 12:01am(PDT)?!

You were made aware before you ordered. As soon as the store went live it said 4-6 week delivery time. So either you were in a rush and didn't read it, or you did read it and now regret having ordered.

The the other stainless steel versions have begun to change to preparing for shipment...fyi

No movement still. Lots of planes came in to Louisville last night though.

No pending charge or anything on CC either.

Side note: Ordered separate BSB at XX:12 with 4/29-5/12 delivery date, no movement on that order at all either.

My issue is that they KNEW that before the store went live, and did not publicize it. Had they, a) some people might not have gotten up at 3am to get first in line for their order, and/or b) some people might have ordered differently (and you know that seconds can cost you when it comes to stuff like this, so having to empty the cart and start shopping again from scratch even once seeing the "4-6 weeks" is an unnecessary burden)

I am fine waiting until May 27th for my Watch. If it ships before then, wonderful - but I am not going to lose sleep about it, and I'm happy others are already enjoying their Watches. What upset me, however, is that a lot of stress could have been avoided by a bit more transparency before the pre-sale went live.

Interesting. Did the other watches indicate an immediate shipment on April 24th when pre-ordering from Apple? I would have been surprised if Apple indicated that a Sport Watch with WSB would be shipped immediately on day one (although this is the watch that my wife received on April 24th). I didn't ignore the delivery time quoted, I just accepted it as a "normal" Apple lead time to ship watches. At the moment, at 3:00am, I wasn't thinking of browsing several other watches to see if the shipping time was better or worse. I was more concerned about getting my order placed. I have no regrets. I was more interested in what information was available, from Apple, on the pre-order website.

I'd be willing to bet that because we ordered the second most expensive watch, that Apple would rather find out if there are any physical bugs prior to sending them out. Replacing one Edition watch here and there, sure they'll have to. But replacing hundreds of thousands of $1k watches can get expensive. So let the Sports have their time in the field, find out if there's any serious defects, then sort those out prior to shipping our watches. Just a thought.

It's definitely not a normal lead time for Apple. They've always specified launch day delivery (until sold out) with iDevices in the past.
