Interesting. Did the other watches indicate an immediate shipment on April 24th when pre-ordering from Apple? I would have been surprised if Apple indicated that a Sport Watch with WSB would be shipped immediately on day one (although this is the watch that my wife received on April 24th). I didn't ignore the delivery time quoted, I just accepted it as a "normal" Apple lead time to ship watches. At the moment, at 3:00am, I wasn't thinking of browsing several other watches to see if the shipping time was better or worse. I was more concerned about getting my order placed. I have no regrets. I was more interested in what information was available, from Apple, on the pre-order website.

Other watches did indicate shipping windows beginning on April 24. That being said, I think a lot people's experiences were similar to yours. They were not concerned with the checking the shipping time because they were simply trying to get their order placed ASAP, which is understandable.

I think Apple could have provided better customer service by letting folks know--prior to the start of preorders--that certain models would not be available on April 24. I don't think that is inflammatory - but similar comments by me and others tend to be met with a lot of animosity and condescending responses. I don't think it's an unfair criticism, but it really irks some folks here. I think that is why you received such a terse response to your initial question.

Some of the watches did show a "24th April - 8th May" delivery time. Others (like the SS Link) showed 4-6 week delivery from the word go.

I don't understand why people are getting so upset, it's a watch!! Not something really important. Everyone has been waiting from Sept 2014 until now, what does another 2 weeks matter?

Everyone who ordered knew it was a 4-6 week wait before they even added the watch to their online shopping basket. So if you're not happy, it's not apples fault. It takes about 20 seconds to pick a different watch that says it is about to ship in the first 2 weeks.

All this constant complaining is pointless. Don't get me wrong, I'm as excited as the next guy about getting my new toy, but it is just that...a toy! It's not a life saving organ transplant that I'll die from not having in the next 3 days.

This thread is pretty tame. Don't think there is too much complaining in here. More disappointment than anything that Apple didn't come through for us like usual.

There are a few new comers (probably ran out of patience, so they joined us here) who have been whining heavily in the last couple/few pages.

I'm pumped to get my :apple:watch. I have a wedding in Chicago from 5/12-5/18 and I'd like to have it by then, but if not I don't think I'll die :).

Don't worry it's coming back soon. I have a good feeling there are going to be changes soon for the people in the first batch window at least.

On the contrary... :)

Im now in the two week window for my link bracelett, 29 Apr to 12 May, so hopefully not too much longer to get the band. Apple can charge me $600 any day now :D

if apple knows what's good for them, they wont ship any link bands without first fulfilling the orders of those who ordered the full link watch.

I'm pretty sure our Link SS will ship next week or so :)

SS link 42
Ordered 3:02
May 13-27

Buddy I work with bought a 42 SG sport with WSB and is keeping it. He also bought a SS 42 with BSB which is shipping tonight for delivery tomorrow. He's either going to return it or sell it to me if I want it. I want the BSB for workouts anyway and have it on separate order. Thinking of canceling my orders and buying his and getting it tomorrow. Then buy a link or 3rd party SS band later. Thoughts?

Done. Cancelled everything. Will have it tomorrow night!

Looks like LOTS of activity on other threads today...except the Link, SB Link, and LL...hopefully it's a sign watches are working through the system and ours aren't far behind!

Since Jony is making each band himself he can only complete one per day. You will receive your watch in October ... 2016.

Since Apple is keeping us on the edge of our seats, with regard to the SS Link Band, the expectations of the quality, make, use and fit is rising with each day. This must be an amazing watch band since it is taking so long to source individual components, manufacture each link, assemble, test and finally put it through a quality control examination for finish, specifications, mechanical integrity, correct tolerances and the absence of any flaws. Of course it must have the :apple: logo stamped somewhere on this perfect band. I can't wait to have the sunlight glint off of the perfect links, knowing that Sir Jonathan Ive himself has blessed this product to be "Apple worthy".

That or it's an incredibly rushed product with extensive quality control issues...

No...I think it's what you said#

I got "oops" earlier in the day and now http/1.1 Service Unavailable. Strangely it only happens on iOS via Deliveries app.
