"We Have an iPhone reserved for you"

I got my second email but for the wrong phone. An iPhone 6 and not the plus which is what I was looking for last night. Kinda odd.

Anyway, does anyone know if I preorder a Plus now with a 3-4 week wait time but am able to grab a phone before then, I can cancel my online preorder?

I've never preordered before so not sure how that all works. Thanks.
 
I ordered a Plus, 64GB, Space Grey with AT&T service. I'm not sure when the order went through, but I think it was around 4:00 am to 4:15 am (Eastern). Reservation number was B501.

Received the first email at 5:23 am.

Received second email at 11:15 am and completed order.

I now have an order confirmation with an indication "Available to ship: 7 - 10 business days".

And "Delivers: Oct 1 - Oct 6"

Not pleased about the delivery date.
 
I had originally gotten a reservation notice at around 4am but then tried to start a new cart/process at 6:30. I was able to go all the way and got an Order In Process email with an order number. This was on a 64gb iPhone 6 in silver.

Then, got an email about my reservation. I'm ignoring it, because as far as I'm concerned, I already ordered mine. Pickup available 9/19 according to my order status page via app.
 
I didn't even know they were doing these reservations. I kept getting carrier errors on the Apple Store app, but was not told I'd be getting a reservation number.

When I woke up at 6am I did get an email for it, but decided to just try ordering again through the app and it worked. Got confirmation email for that too.

Why don't or didn't you guys just try re-ordering rather than wait for this reservation process?

The first was B101 and received first email at 2:19 am MST and received the email to complete the order at 6:51 am MST. Showed 9-19 delivery.

The second was B401 and received first email at 2:21 am MST and still have not received completion email.

Both via iPhone Apple store app and 64gb gold 6+

Had a PC a Mac an iPad and iPhone refreshing. Only on iPhone the pre order ever came available.

Just received 2nd email for B401 at 8:51 am MST pre order and completed process for 9-19 delivery.

So the original order was 2 minutes later and that translated to 2 hours for the 2nd email.
 
At 3:45am when the biggest company in the world tells you you're all set...I kind of take their word for it and looked at that as a pass to lay down and get 3 more hours of sleep before work.

Call me crazy. But don't know if I'll be falling for that one again!
 
Got a reservation code at 4:15 EST - B601. Was for a 16gb 6+ Silver on Verizon and it was showing Delivers 9/19 when I received the reservation number. I'm still waiting on my 2nd email to order the thing.

Edit: I take that back! Just got my email, going through checkout now.
 
Hold in there guys! My reservation that I got at about 3:20am CDT was just redeemed and it said ships by 9/19! Got a 128GB iPhone Plus Space Gray Verizon and a product red leather case. Can't wait!

I'd imagine if you ordered before 3:20am CDT you're golden, and probably also golden shortly after that considering the amount of people on here who made reservations they aren't keeping or accidentally made just checking eligibility. Everyone make sure to post the time you got the reservation so that people will know if they have a shot at 9/19 shipping!
 
B501 for AT&T

I guess I just got the worst luck, I was looking at the iPhone 6 Plus 128GB and I got the email this morning to complete my order, it shows for an iPhone 6 16GB, if i click on change phone I get a 3-4 week delivery.
 
I have a 6+ ordered from Verizon (with ever changing status)

But I was also trying the App store app around the same time. I have a B401 reservation # but have not received a 2nd email yet for me to finish the process. If I get this email, does it let you know before you check out what the delivery date will be? I would go this route if its more certain than verizon.
 
I had a weird glitch where while I was trying to refresh to be able to add to cart it threw a res at me (6 silver). I didn't save the number and chalked it up to an error. Later I actually got to purchase my device (Space Grey 6+ for 9/19) and got an order number and the whole nine. This morning I wake up to the res(6 silver i assume) and attempt to put in my info to see what it says and it states that there is already an upgrade on the line. It would seem that my order (6+) went thought but it's freaking me out a little.

Any input?

I need a quick help.

Last night i was trying to preorder an iphone+ 64GB & unable to get thru but i got the reservation msg from apple.
I still kept trying to order from apple. Finally when i was about to sleep i was able to check out but with an shipping date as Oct 1- 6.

But this morning i got an email from apple to confirm my reservation. Luckily the delivery estimate on this shows 9/19. But unfortunately its NOT letting me confirm this order since my last night order was already processed and not allowing to choose this one.

Anyone faced similiar situation? How to resolve this? I defintely needed my iphone+ to be delivered on 9/19.

Pls help.
 
Just got my 2nd email and finished my order. Also got my wife's. B601 and B501 reservation numbers respectively. Mine is a Gray 6+ 64GB and hers is Silver 6+ 64GB. Both AT&T phones with 9/19 delivery dates.

Yes, it tells you when delivery will be on pretty much every screen throughout process

Finished checkout, delivery of 9/19. Apple wins my heart over again!
 
Just got the confirmation and completed my order

6 Plus - 128GB - Space Gray - Verizon

Delivery - 9/19/14

I have mine on the wrong phone line! Does anyone know if ATT will transfer over an upgrade from a different line so I can complete the purchase? :confused:

Ok great. Well whenever i get the 2nd email I will check this out….I just might have to figure out what I have to do with the first order from Verizon...

I had a fairly similar thing happen. You have an order confirmation email (not just a reservation) and you see an order when you go to apple's site and check order status, correct?

So far it seems to be the case that you will NOT have an actual order in the system if you just have a reservation, until you get the "complete" email and go through the final checkout. So if you do have an order, and you have also received reservations (I received two), you can ignore the reservations and let them lapse, because they are separate from the order itself.

At least, that is how it appears, and that's the assumption I'm proceeding under.

Considering how gummed up the orders are, I wouldn't rock the boat. Accept the order as is and wait until the phone arrives. Then, if the new phones in question share the iPhone 6's nano-sim size (e.g., if you are upgrading from a iPhone 5s to a 6), then you can just swap the sims. If the sims are different sizes between phones, AT&T can switch over phone numbers between phone sims in the store (ie, iPhone nano-sim vs a different phone's regular sized sim). I have swapped phone numbers between phones many times without issue.

But get the phone in your hand first, then worry about what number is assigned.

Wow, so good news. Since it was the wrong phone I closed the window. Decided to try again and it remembered that the last phone I looked at earlier which was the iPhone 6 Plus 128gb and now shows delivery for 9/19 instead of the 3-4 weeks.

I guess some people just get lucky? Hopefully....

LOL just for the heck of it I tried to order one for a friend using one of my lines (he's out of the country and without access to the web) after ordering mine (confirmed and charged, woohoo).

I got one of these messages after checking eligibility on the line, that they were "holding one for me".

Well I sure am glad I didn't bank on that...

They held (randomly) a 16GB Gold (no one wants gold anymore... wonder why *cough* hypocrites *cough* (kidding =)), regular 6. Dunno HOW they came up with that model. Maybe they thought I was a poor female :p (kidding, but only sorta this time LOL).

Anyway, I'm not proceeding (my budddy didn't want it).

Has everyone just been getting random ones "held" for them? I'm guessing it's because I hadn't selected one yet when I got the message, but it made me laugh anyway.

6 and 6+ 64GB SG are both processing from the earlier order at least, 9/19 delivery!

Yes, but I don't want to have to pay $549. i want the $299 price.
