hey for those looking to transfer media from apps like mxtube, yourtube, or stuff you dwonloaded from safari download manager to your computer i found a really easy way to do this. First you need to have ifile. then you need to download the app "downloads" from the app store, the lite version will work. so first you go into ifile and find whatever media video or music or whatever you want to transfer and click on it. then click open in downloads. then in downloads change the location of that file from the inbox folder to files. then connect to your computer, click on your ipod logo, go into apps and down to file sharing or whatever and click on downloads and the nclick the media you want to transfer, cick save to and it will be wherever you saved it to on your computer! i've seen a lot of people ask this problem so i hope this helps some people!

Lots of great apps in here..

I highly suggest downloading Firewall IP.
It's $3.99 in Cydia.
No more unwanted outbound requests for ads, analytic data, etc.

yes but i think that might be a little to well known for the use of this thread. the intention was to help people find apps that are helpful but relativly unknown.

Well I never knew it was well known, if it wasnt for this thread I wouldnt find the "barrel app" so Im sorry mr. Grumpy guy.. Sound like somebody needs to get "u know what"...

Great thread!

I just JB'ed my iPhone 4 a couple of days ago and found this thread...fantastic. So much better than the typical "top 10" or whatever. I've spent 2 or 3 hours downloading and trying a number of apps mentioned here. Thanks to all and I wish I could contribute even one unknown app but you guys have done a great job.

Wow, just saw that MobileLog wasn't mentioned yet. It's a way more powerful phone/SMS log viewer and editor, but the reason I bought it was I missed the nag beep/flash for missed calls/SMSs from Butler on my old Treo, and MobileLog has that too. Configurable intervals, configurable sound, all I could wish for is that if it flashed the LED too.

sorry man wasn't meaning to be grumpy I don't really care if you put that on but i just thought it was becoming to be a well known app and some people have been putting some apps exactly the opposite of what this thread was for but sorry for sounding grumpy, barrel is an ok app for the thread.

Nobody made you the approver of what apps people can list here. Apps wouldn't be popular if they weren't good, very rarely is there an app that is so good yet remains scarcely used. This thread is silly...the popular apps are the good apps in Cydia so everyone knows them.

If you "DONT REALLY CARE" what gets put on here, then you shouldn't be commenting on what I posted in the first place. Kayan is right, you are not the approver unless youre the freaking moderator but then again, nobody gives you the right to say what needs to be put on here or not period. I"ve been here longer than you and I know what goes so stop wasting your time being anal about things. Just enjoy what people contributes on this thread.

Notifier+ will allow you to flash the LED or the screen and also lets you change the sounds and have cutomizable intervals and repeats. Available in Cydia.

didnt mean for everyone to get worked up about this lets just continue with the app suggestions and I wont say anymore comments on what apps i think should be on the thread unless someone puts winterboard or sbsettings. ok?

Didn't see ShowCase mentioned. It shows you upper case if the shift key is on and lower if off. I make less mistakes with it and it's amazing to me that this isn't the default for Apple.

A few more apps that may not be well known:

1.**MyProfiles – Create different profiles for different GPS locations or time of day… turnoff wi-fi/sounds at work, airplane when you sleep. Also, setup alerts for specific email senders.

2.**BatteryDetective – Find out how much juice background apps or settings use (e.g. wi-fi, 3G)

3.**eWiFi – see more wi-fi spots around you.

4.* uTorrent Remote – manage your uTorrents remotely.

5.***Mail Rules – create custom rules (e.g. notifications, move email…) for your mail.

6.**Auto-Silent – similar to MyProfiles but without battery management features.* More settings for controlling notifications.* What is cool is that it interfaces with your calendar so that your phone can be silent during appointments.

I know I was the 1st to point fingers at this thread. myself along with several others have heard about some good Apps. I say keep them coming. Pandorav3.1.4 skip hack is one of my new favs unlimited skips and thumbs down. http://cydia.myrepospace.com/theman123 is one repo. SpringFlash is another it allows you to use the LED flash as a flashlight straight from SB Settings. been around for a while but I find it very handy.

I can't find the Pandorav app in Cydia. Any help?
