What are you buying in 2007?

iPhone
iPod Nano 8GB (I have a 5th Gen. 30 gb, and I switched it with my sisters new Nano 2 Gb, I find nanos to be a lot more useful to me than their bigger brothers)
A kick *ss stereo system with B&W floorstands(I know, I know but I wanted to write)
Mozart Complete Edition from Philips, Decca and Deutsche Grammaphon(What did you think I wanted that stereo system for :)

That's all :) God, these will cost a lot :D

well apples 20' ACD is only 1680x1050 at the moment but I want to make the most of my Macbook and get a 1920x1200 display... I dont see why the next generation ACD's can't have such a resolution in a 20', seen as there are 17" laptops with 1920x1200 resolutions nowadays!

I think the comedy was intended to come from the fact that

20' = 20 feet
20" = 20 inches

vPod (holding out on this until Apple releases the "touch screen" later this year :cool: )
Macbook (i've never owned a laptop before :( )
and a mac mini (or the woman will beat me for buying all this stuff just for me)

Some people are in for a great year. What I find surprising is that not many people have listed an actual computer. Why is this? Is it:

  • You only buy a new computer when one breaks
  • You have a set time for buying computers (every three years or so)
  • You just buy one on a whim
  • You buy one when something a lot better or revolutionary comes out

I suppose I am a bit of all three. If I had the money I would get a MacPro but at the moment I will have to make do with my PowerMac.
 
Yes I'm going full Apple products this year and I plan on selling my hyped up PC after I get my iMac for a very very cheap price (just so I can get some money out of it) and try to buy more apple products with that money.

Computers are so 2006. Apple has even rid of the "Computer" from its own name. That's how out of style they (computers) are :)

I guess people didn't list computers so much since they don't really know release dates/availability of alot of pending products from Apple. I guess when dates are released, people might consider a 2k$ computer purchase. Until then, its light/moderate spending :)
 
I'm in the process of building a home so I will be signing (or singing haha) the mortgage on that sometime in June.

I am also looking to buy an HDTV LCD television.

Oh, and I bought a Wii on January 4th and may get an xbox 360 if I get my HDTV. That is all for now.

and I think that's it for Mac/computer stuff for the year. I need to start putting money into photography again.
 
2007 is the year I make the switch to Mac (been ready for over a year now, just waiting on the funds). So, I will be getting:

17" MBP Santa Rosa
external HD
AirPort Extreme
sleeve and case for my MBP

Yay for no more old Dell desktop!

Where we can compare…
 
Hopefully people will come back and update their posts and see how everyone did. What they added or why they didn't get what they expected to...

Mac Pro, once iLife 07 comes out.

2 x 1 gb memory to add to Mac Pro

I'd like to see them update the Mac Pro line before I buy. If they offer an octo-core configuration, the prices for the quad core configurations will hopefully fall. And they need to offer another graphics card option (maybe nVidia 8800GTX?? :D :D ) Hopefully from the number of problems they have had with the x1900 cards they will wise up and get rid of it!
