Apples laptops needed the bost in performance much more then the desktops. While AMD runs neck and neck with Intel in the desktop market, Intel easily beats them out when it comes to laptop CPU's and chipsets.

😱 I didn't think I would be, but after using to for thirty minutes or so, I totally fell in love w/ the MB. So ordered it yesterday from Amazon (had to sell a buncha stuff, but still). White, stock middle of the range 2.0 GHz C2D MB. 😀

Depending on if/ when I start working in the summer, and how it seems, might get Adobe CS3.

Don't really see myself getting anything else techy or whatnot this year. But it is only February still. 😉
 
Is this a want list or an actual "i for sure am buying this" ?

Anyways:

iPhone, depending on finances
6G iPod if it's the iPhone minus network parts (then obviously, I won't get an iPhone)
1GB for my MBP (to bring it to an even 2)
iPod dock
Extra battery or power adapter for my MBP
 
I've had to push back my iMac purchase because I fell short in finances and didn't feel like being in debt again. I am hoping that in the next month I can start going down the list in my purchases again starting with iMac + ipod 2gb (cause really, who needs more than that? 😛 )

EDIT: P.s. here's to hoping that next month when I get my iMac, it will come with Leopard/iLife '07!
 
Just bought a 20" Imac

I just bought a Core Duo iMac with 2GB RAM for image editing - virtual tours and still photos and web development

Later this year I plan to get Photoshop CS3, and maybe an AppleTV

Well, I'm buying a wedding dress, a week somewhere in Mexico to get married, and most likely a macbook pro later this year if I can afford it 🙂

i'll be buying, in this order:

- drywall/flooring/paint/cabinets for our hideous old laundry room
- a brand spankin' new front load washer and dryer
- two new back doors
- a new toilet!
- a green iPod nano (bet you thought there wouldn't be any apple products here) 😛
- an iMac, probably around september
- CS3
- drywall/flooring/paint for our mudroom
- drywall/flooring/paint/bathtub/vanity for our bathroom

i have a big year coming up!

Mini/iMac (to supplement my MB) OR MBP (to replace my MB)
Leopard (if I don't get a MBP)
iphone (maybe... depends on the monthly costs)

That's probably it.
 
My allowance goes for toys, gasoline, my clothes, and presents to my wife. She doesn't give herself an allowance, and pays for the rest of the bills, hers stuff, most dining, and presents to kids and grandkids.

I gave her 1/3 of a 24" iMac for Christmas and she gave me an iPod for Christmas.

My major toy is golf, but for the first time since I started playing a few years ago, I haven't had a club in my hand for longer than 3 weeks. Actually it has been since before Christmas when the weather went bad near Denver. That has saved some money though (although tomorrow's Valentine's Day).

I've tried her computer, so I know my next computer won't be Windows. Whether I save enough up in 2007 for a Mac Pro is the question.

I also just bought some $75 ear buds, but they don't seem to fit well. I'd really like something better, but we can't really try them out. I also a program to convert movies for my iPod, but it won't let me copy a single sub-movie from Fantasia. If I ever find a program that allows me to organize my photos on my iPod, I will buy it. It doesn't currently support sub-folders, which makes it impracticle to find stuff.

And I will buy more music.
 
Shopping list for the year:

Most definitely:

- tickets to NY in November for the Marathon (hoping to see some MR members there this year)

High probability:

- Macbook/Macbook Pro (depending on finances)
- new car (I have a lemon! spent too much last year just to keep it running, and i bought it brand new on 2003...)

If I have money to spare:
- 32" LCD TV
- Wii
- Organize first annual MR party 😉

Go for the Whirlpool Duet; they are so awesome and so worth the money
 
AppleTV, Leopard, ilife, iwork, 26" HDTV 720p Atleast, A good set of speakers, iPhone and maybe if im lucky PS3.
So looks like 2007 is going to cost me around £2000
