pompous a**holes...i.e. when someone asks a question that is responded with a sarcastic, superority-complexed remark posted by someone who was probably picked last in dodgeball in gradeschool.

Sorry that some people don't know everything there is to know...if that weren't the case, there would be no reason for forums, correct?

yeah..

I hate people who ask questions that are easily answered by a quick search in the forums or on google. To these people i normally reply with a sarcastic, superority-complexed remark. Probably because i was picked last in dodgeball in gradeschool.

:)

I generally like this website, most of the people are very nice and helpful which is why it is so popular. Although i do hate when my (elitist) posts are deleted for no reason :(

Yay!

And a tenner? Are you buying your domains from Harrods?

I use UKreg.com. Im an absolute webtard when it comes to domains but ukreg is easy enough to understand even if the prices do keep going up. To be honest though I have never really 'shopped around'.

I can't stand UKReg. The prices headed too far north, then they removed almost any DNS control unless you had your own nameservers.

Deleting your comments without notice is ridiculously lame. A simple blank edit with a reason in the reason field should be enough.
There is no way mods could or should ever be expected to do that. Think about the logistics of that for just a moment.
Not posting cack should be enough to keep from post deletions. It's not that big a deal though, I've had stuff deleted, just how it goes.

Hate Mac Rumors logo!

I don't like the Mac Rumors logo!
The apple and question mark thing is a bit obvious really.

Maybe Mac Rumors should have competition to design a new logo!

how about it??

Any suggestions? And how would I go about transferring existing domains?

Totally agree with you here! :)

Haha, I agree. It looks as if the logo is from the late 90s.

I'm thinking the logo could do with a refresh.

One point that people might disagree with - It seems that for a one line post, and other posts in general, it seems an awful waste of screen space - it seems there's a big space around the bottom and top, and a good inch is wasted just to have the report button with some space. Maybe I just need to use zoom out a bit more, or turn off avatars...

Suprised search hasn't come up more either... It sucks currently. (And yes, I am aware of being able to use other sites to search this one, but think the in house version isn't amazing).

Meh... bigger avatars, change in logo...
These are peripheral to the MR experience for me
To be honest, the logo is just a fixture for me and feels like home

I don't come here for bells and whistles, I come here for meat and potatoes

But that's just me, and I realize there are lots of opinions here

Perhaps... or maybe this site is the most popular for a reason

Can it be improved? Certainly
But the cosmetics are the least of my concerns

Some of my concerns are things that occupy the Mods time a LOT
1. Less trolling by PC fanboys? Yes (I don't mean legitimate discussion)
2. Less OMG!!!!!!1111 LOL!!!1111? Yes
3. Less duplicate threads? Yes (how threads do we need on these things?)
4. You get the idea...

But those are not SITE related specifically...

For me, when it comes to the site itself:
1. Better search capability (even though I use MRoogle when I need it)
2. Hmmmm, that's about it for me

This would be my entry for a new MR logo. Look more at the concept than the execution. It needs a bit more work and obviously some colour, maybe a less harsh typeface too.

Don't look at the execution
Don't look at the color
Don't look at the typeface

What am I looking at again? :)

Just kidding!!
