Clinical Laboratory Scientist. I work in several local hospital laboratories doing medical testing of blood and other specimens. I like the job because I get to wear a white lab coat and walk around all day looking "scientific." ;)

I mow lawns, alot of lawns. I also shovel driveways and stuff during the winter. I wish I could be a paperboy, but my friend and his family (6 kids:eek: ) have taken the whole neighborhood. I'd like to work at the bowling alley thats 4 doors down when I'm 16.

I do some stuff like mow lawns, but mostly I build and repair PCs :D Not the most stable source of income (I can be earning zilch one month and over £2k the next), but pretty good going considering I'm 14 :D

I am a freelance corporate and marketing communications writer. I also develop Internet projects and multimedia applications on the side.

I work from home, an arrangement that is quite nice because I have more freedom to schedule and plan my day. :)

I'm an ecologist. I wake up early and stalk animals with binoculars. I dig holes and plant stuff in them. I design science experiments that take place outside, not in a lab. Next month we're trapping bobcats and mountain lions.

Yes, I get paid for all of that. Shocking, eh?

i'm an unemployed high school student who dreams of being a photographer or a print designer. when i turn 16 i'll probably get a job at some random fast food restaurant or something :p

Well my official title is web administrator. Yet I'd say I'm more a graphic artist as I spend more time putting together news paper ads & brochures than I do working on the website.

Do I like it? Yeah sometimes, it's better than flipping burgers and stacking boxes. Although being an in house graphics guy makes my work pretty similar and ridged at times.

Wow, that's a great job! I'd do it for free, heck I'd pay to do it...

Right now, I'm semi-retired, a Mr. mom and in need of an extended solo cross-country driving excursion.

General Surgeon, starting to wish I was an orthopedic surgeon.

What I would really like to do is coach a U-14, freshman HS, or JV soccer soccer team, but time unfortunately does not permit.

During the day I am doing economic analysis to determine profitability of large off shore gas developments throughout the world. In the evening I tend to our 6 weeks old and at night I do computer animation.... In between I try to day trade as well

VP of Internet Marketing. Mainly sales and marketing but spend a fair amount of time dealing with web design and our proprietary software design. I love my job.

I'm a college student and part-time web app programmer. I'd prefer to do freelance motion graphics, but I don't have enough time right now. Someday I'll be a physics professor/researcher.

Nice! Is the pay decent for a job like that?

I'm a freelance cook for the Food Network and I'm raising 2 children.

Currently VP of prepress for a commercial offset printer, but am most likely heading our near-future foray into digital printing. Anyone here know how to run an iGen?:)

I work for a company that is famous for making really safe cars.....I am a communications technical analyst....which means looking after the WAN & communications stuff for around 300 sites. If anyone wants any help with any networking stuff (particularly cisco devices or BT WAN's) i'm happy to help. Just drop me a line

I'm an English teacher. I work with "at risk" 15-18 year olds (like every 15-18 year old isn't at risk). My good days are wonderful highs. My bad days are really, really low.

Can you believe I'm required to teach Oedipus to 15 year olds who are on the verge of dropping out?

Especially in today's troubled times, there would seem to be an automatic at risk factor for that age bracket. Teaching is one of those professions that combines satisfying personal moments with others that make you question why that field was ever chosen.

I remember one interesting moment involving a teacher while in my junior year at college. As a prior report was being returned to me, I looked at the top and noticed there was some extra writing below where the grade was. The professor stated the following: "A paper such as this is one of the rewards that a teacher hopes for, but unfortunately does not receive too often. With your permission, I would like to use it as a starting point to begin a class with next week."

As a student, I always remembered how it made me feel and also appreciated how challenging it is to be a teacher who is remembered by students in a highly favorable way. It is a demanding job and I hope your better days exceed your bad ones.
