I did a search and came up with squat. I've been reading a lot of posts from the mac rumors regulars and I just got to thinking, "Hmm...I wonder what they do for a living." I like the individual personalities of everyone on here and just wanted to know a little more about these people. Most people would take that kind of interest as a compliment. I didn't mean to bore you:(

Exact same thread title....

And there are tons more :D

Its not a bore, its just a matter of doing a search for the right things...

From a moderator's perspective, would you prefer a new thread or reviving a thread that's over a year old though? It's a serious question, because I notice you haven't merged or closed this one. :)

Right now I shamelessly grovel and call alumni of my college and ask for donations  I also work as a writing tutor and a content tutor in Spanish and Latin.

During the summer I run "This is Mediocrity at Its Average Productions" (tm) with some friends. We record and produce local bands and also do a bit of film work.

I am studying to be a Physicians Assistant

Post on MR and waste time. :p ;) :)
Ditto. But on a more serious note, I am trying to figure out a way to make money posting on internet boards. Wish me luck.

I have a slightly bizarre double life. On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, I am a chartered accountant working for a large accountancy firm. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, I study sound engineering. Accountancy is dull as hell, but it is financing my plan for the domination of the world of music.

Currently a graphics/motion graphics designer at ESPN. Spent the past 5 years doing production design at MTV Networks. Aspire to be a 3D computer animator. Spending time unlocking the pandoras box known as Maya.

I'm a grad student doing nanoelectronics. I spend my days making devices that are about 50 nanometers long and 20 nanometers wide. One day, hopefully, this stuff may replace the CMOS devices that make up the computer chips we all use. 2.5 years down, 2.5 to go till the Ph.D, God willing!

Need a case? Mmm... Nice South Australian cabernet... Of course, the merchant part means you have to spend AU$500 or more... :D

I got a hold of some 1998 Tintara Shiraz a while back, it was yurmeeey!!!! Prefer a Cab Sav or Pinot Noir though. The Coldstream Hills Pinot has always been a favourite of mine.

I work with homeowners and builders. I basically mediate disputes over warrantied defects. Not a great job, but I make decent money, for being (almost) 24 and no college.

What do I want to do? Art, music, video. I ahve an idea for a t-shirt company but have no idea where to start (other than getting the art/trademarks down). Yippy-kai-yay.

I'm an English teacher. I work with "at risk" 15-18 year olds (like every 15-18 year old isn't at risk). My good days are wonderful highs. My bad days are really, really low.

Can you believe I'm required to teach Oedipus to 15 year olds who are on the verge of dropping out?

Compare it to the Terminator, or Twelve Monkeys, or most any time travel movie. They are basically the same thing: any effort to avoid your fate is what ends up causing it to happen.

I know what you mean. After years of very hard work I can now say I have a vague understanding of it.

Currently, I am a CAD Technician (Drafter). But I've got a biz degree, and I want to go work in a bank in commercial lending. If i could do anything though (meaning I didnt need to work for a living because i had 100's of millions) I would do random suff. I'd also take one of my friend's ideas and that would be to pay all of my friends about 1m a year just so that they wouldn't have to work and would be free to do whatever.

I manage the family's independent pharmacy and am currently developing our second store. We'll be breaking ground in December. So soon I'll be able to say I manage an indepenent pharmacy chain. :)

I'm also our IT guy even though my degree in college was in political science.

After I get the business squared away I'd like to go back to school and get my pharmacy license.

I have an intersting Theatre job: basically three in one: Assistant Artistic Director, Production Stage Manager, and In-house Graphics for our small theatre company. The money is not great, but we produce a Comedy and I am surrounded by tomfoolery all the time. I travel quite a bit, get per diems, and my hours are extremely flexible. I get to meet some very intersting, quasi-celebs and I get to cast actors for my planned indie movie from a circle of friends; more than half the people I know/ hang out with are actors...

I will never go to the 8-5 routine... never!

Who wants to give me 20 G's to make my movie...

Or 1.5 million to buy the Theatre we lease?

I'll be very nice to you, promise!

I'm a project manager, more on the front end side with client contact, etc...

It is an interesting job, but I'm in the heart of my busy season right now so I'm working a lot of hours - long days, 6 day work weeks, bleh...

And here I am procrastinating on MR!!!
