I'm a high school senior / college freshmen because of all of the college classes I am taking (for free of course ;) ) and the lack of high school classes I'm taking even though I am officially enrolled as a high school student.

Other than that, I sell fireworks during the summer, and uhhhhhh..... do a lot of complaining!

I'm a Registered Nurse. A retired Captain from the US Air Force Reserves. Also do Media Ministry at my church on Sunday, usually 2 -3 Sunday's a month.

Student in high school

translation: I do almost no work, get 100s on english tests I don't study for, and live at home. My mom lets me use her credit card to go buy food at the Wal-Mart Market so I can buy all the tofu I need. YUM. I can also sleep for 10+ hours, starting at 6 PM with no repercussions.

Life is sweet right now.

I expect to have a kicked butt this time next year. Freshman year of College and all.

I'm in pretty much the opposite situation...:p New England boarding prep school...

Senior year at Hotchkiss (any alums floating around? *waves*), which, according to most of my friends who graduated last year and two years ago, is way harder than college. :D Word on the street is that life's a breeze from here on out, and I'm looking forward to it.

Yes I'm a preppy, what of it?

For reference Hotchkiss compares to:
Deerfield, Andover, Choate, Exeter, Loomis Chaffee, and Kent, if any of you have connections to the new england boarding school world. :D

As my profile says: "some dull as hell I.T. crap"

(I'm a contractor for an investment bank)

I'm a college student, which means that my living comes from federal loans and school grants. And let me tell you, it's not enough of a living to buy the amount of Starbucks I need to stay awake throughout the day.

Las summer I made money working at a coffee shop and doing freelance web design in my spare time. I made enough money to buy the furniture for my apartment, so that made me pretty happy. It's nice to have a bed instead of a little nest of blankets on the floor ;)

I design and build houses and furniture.
At the moment I'm taking a break and rebuilding a 30' 1972 Commer Lambourn horsebox my daughter turned up with a few weeks ago so she and our grand-dog can live in it.

How do you like boarding school? Was it your choice? Do you miss your family? How old were you when you started?

I've always wondered what it was like for kids at boarding schools. I have never met or talked to any boarding school alumni/students.

Graphic Designer and Digital Imager (Photoshop/Maya). I love it and would not trade it for anything.

You must be a busy guy in your weekends then...

Said to be the mightiest dweller in Arda, Melkor was of the same order of the Valar and equal in power to Manwë himself, who was Melkor's brother in the mind of Ilúvatar. While the Valar descended into Arda to order and govern wisely, though, Melkor sought power for himself alone, and sought to bend all things to his own will.

All that the Valar made, Melkor looked to destroy; long before the Elves awoke, he threw down the Lamps of the Valar, destroying their dwelling in Almaren. They removed to Valinor, and fearing for the coming Elves, made war on Melkor and imprisoned him for three ages. By the time he was released, the Elves had come to Valinor; Melkor turned back to his evil ways; slaying Finwë and stealing the Silmarils, he destroyed the Two Trees of Valinor and fled back to his ancient fortress of Angband in the north of Middle-earth.

I am a Watcher, A memeber of a secret society of men and women who observe and record, but never interfere with the lives of immortals.

No really
I am a supervisor for a computer support desk. Hmm how to really explain. Say you walk into your local "Pizza Restaurant" and order a pizza, their computer freaks out on them and they have to call for help with it.. They call my team.
I am one of the few lucky peeps who got a job in a field they love. Not that it it is the greatest job in the world, but it is not a bad job and it does pay the bills.

Research Scientist (postdoctoral fellow).
I study retrotransposons (a.k.a. junk DNA, mobile DNA, and/or Parasitic DNA). This is the stuff that makes up about 34% of your genome.

Like iRachel, I too hope to become a professor in the near future.

I did a search and came up with squat. I've been reading a lot of posts from the mac rumors regulars and I just got to thinking, "Hmm...I wonder what they do for a living." I like the individual personalities of everyone on here and just wanted to know a little more about these people. Most people would take that kind of interest as a compliment. I didn't mean to bore you:(
