Remember Me-

It’s been in my library for some time, primarily melee, this should be a prime game for my tastes, but second time I’ve tried and just can’t stick with it. The build your own combos were confusing, and I got frustrated with it in general. 😔

Meanwhile Detroit, Becomng Human was a hit! ☺️

Hey guys,
does anyone of you know if Doom Dark Ages will be playable on a Mac Pro 5,1 (6-core 5690 dual, Radeon Vega 64, 96GB, Windows 10)?
Ciao, Uwe

Maybe. It is below the minimum requirements, but it may still run, just horribly. I'm not 100% sure the game flat out requires a GPU that supports ray tracing, but the minimums shown seem to imply it.

Hmmm, yes, I've seen the minimum requirements as well. But as usual the 5690 is out of the game and they say i5 is the minimum CPU one needs to have. I'm more concerned about the ray tracing as my Vega64 does not support it.

Wrapped up Lost Judgment, Currently playing Monster Hunter Wilds. Despite the steep PC requirements, having an absolute blast. New patch for Final Fantasy XIV coming up as well, so will also go through that soon.

It 100% will require a GPU that supports ray tracing. Same as Indiana Jones. Supposedly it uses it for hit detection too, not just lighting.

Anyone playing BG3 on their new M4 Macbook Airs? Wouldn't be my primary machine, but would like to play it at times when I go on the road and have some free time on my hands.

Just curious as to how playable it might be despite it being fanless.

Is a game to be experienced... I run the game on the ScummVM engine as has a lot more options, boosts the graphic fidelity significantly and runs natively on Apple Silicon  Bonus is you can add in the HQ OST with a little knowledge. Composer kept the original tapes and released them to the public. The ScummVM engine can playback with ease, enriching the gaming experience...

Marathon, simply a timeless & very solid FPS with a great backstory. Is an epic Sci-Fi trilogy, better still is free & open source. Lords of the Fallen, is a Souls like, and typically a hard play. Doom 2016 just dropped on GOG for buttons, instant buy

Finally satisfied with Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines, took a year or few...

VTMB Install Order:
1 Copy & past base GOG game. I also deleted all the GOG files as no need for them
2 Install Unofficial Patch VTMBup115.13.exe (opt for the shaders & SDK)
3 No Intro Videos, game boots faster (optional)
4 HQ music tracks (follow mods directory structure)
5 HQ audio/effects - Sound Overhaul (unpack to Unofficial_Patch)
6 Bloodlines Voices Remastered
7 Posters Mod (optional)

Rather limited by the game engine, equally the latest UP helps a lot in that direction. You can manipulate the graphic's, however it generally results in an imbalanced experience as there's a hard limit on directory size.

n.b. Read the notes for each mod as the install order & directories count.

Finally finished Avowed, took ~115 hours according to Steam, and I got most of the achievements (not that I really care) including things like 'discovered all of X' and 'completed all side quests' and so on ... so feel like I thoroughly explored it all. Loved it - really wonderful Obsidian game.

Last night tried to figure out what to play next! haha tough after playing a single game from late Fed to the end of April! Maybe replay BG3 or Cyberpunk or Outer Worlds or Rogue Trader or ...

Well ... GreenManGaming had 'Clair Obscur: Expedition 33' for 20% off! So I grabbed that and will give that a shot!

I’ll wait for a bigger sale. ☺️ Currently 20% off on Steam, still $55…

April/May 2025-
A grim month, but I made some progress on my game queue. ;)
  • Enderal (Skyrim Mod) Quit not completed. Lush environment but... I did not care about the story.
  • Enshrouded Quit not completed, did not like.
  • Avatar Frontiers Quit not completed. Felt too much like a loner, routine, taking bases down was fun for a while, but got repetitive, although this is the best natural environment I've ever seen.
  • Terminator: Resistance Quit not completed. Plot and the future machine controlled wasteland did not draw me in.
  • Robo Cop: Rogue City Clomp, Clomp, shoot bad people, ehh.
  • Star Wars Outlaws Demo Quit not completed, technical issues. Nice SWs emviroment. Sale came and went, without resolving tech issue. Ubisoft, it cost you. 🤔
  • Fallout New Vegas Quit not completed- retro graphics
  • X4: Foundations Reinstalled this, got 400+ hrs in this game, but I've just not been able to get myself going with it's learning curve (I forgot...)
Others:
  • Detroit Becoming Human 👍
  • Conan Exiles 👍
  • World of Warships 🫳 Infuriating, but I still play it.
  • Fallout 4 w/Outcast and Remnants, Valkyrie Content Mods 😍
Current: Launched Prey, to see if it takes. The name sounds familiar, but I don't remember playing it, and nothing looks familiar. Kind of like Alien Isolation, but nothing like it. I got EFFECTIVE weapons... :)

Enderal didn't give the game a chance, quit before the game even started. Story develops over time. Prey have 100% this one multiple times, one of the best of genre is not the best, right up there System Shock 2...

Just me not having the patience...the running around I was doing along with encounters was just not pulling me into it.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 was an absolute joy! Wonderful game, and played very well on Steam Deck. Highly recommended.

Thought I wanted a replay of BG3, but for whatever reason by Emerald Grove I decided I wanted something different ... so a replay of Cyberpunk 2077 it is! Still early in Act I so not sure this will occupy me either.

CP2077 still have issues just stubborn as a mule. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 has the go code is a game for players...

Couple of Gracewind tales;

Do You Copy?
1748507413983.png

Do You Copy? is a tense, horror adventure that puts you attempting to guide a distressed hiker back to your watchtower in safety, however there is more that meets the eye.

The Leeds Murder

The Leeds Murder is a direct sequel to "Do You Copy?" in the Gracewind Universe. You play as a detective looking for a missing person lost in Gracewind Park. Use your investigative skills to find out the truth.

Pay what you want, even to the point of being free. Both are decent and worth a play.

After fiddling around for a bunch of hours mostly in Cyberpunk but also some in Avowed and Outer Worlds, something made me want to re-try

Gothic 3 on Steam Deck - I'd tried back in 2022 after playing through Gothic 2 successfully, but G3 used a new engine and was in general much different. And for whatever reason it would install and run but I couldn't get the controls to work. Since I got the OLED Deck in 2023 I never tried again, but installed it yesterday and got a start, and it plays beautifully! The graphics look nearly 20 years old, and the rag doll is wild, but overall I absolutely love it after not completing a play through in many years. I'm still just level 4 and have to strategically approach every battle (multiple wolves at once? insta-death!)
