What is your 16" MBP delivery date?

I think it was around 3 full days. 23rd to 26th. Something like that. It’s good that the delivery is like one day once it moves forward. I chose standard shipping but it is listed as DHL Express. It’s just the customs wait that holds this process up. When DHL gets the info and is waiting for the package. Well that’s how I understand it from what I’ve read here
 
grabbed my serial off the invoice thats now available and plugged it into the applecare site to see if it showed active coverage after today but before the supposed delivery date to see if maybe i could expect delivery sooner, and found instead that my applecare started yesterday, wtf.
 
I purchase on November 20th and had a delivery date of December 3-5th. Then it shipped yesterday and had a delivery date of Wednesday, then I got a text that it was out for delivery. So it's sitting at home as I am watching the clock barely crawl along until I get off and can open it up. So I'm pretty happy with the time frame. Under promise, over deliver. Now to pass along my 2018, will probably go to my wife.

how can you possibly have a BTO ship from china to your house in 24 hours? the 16" in your sig is a BTO.

I learned the hard way to never get express on Apple items. They often expedite large shipments, but set aside express for special handling, which is usually slower when done individually. At least during the early days of a new product.
 
Mine is available for pickup in store now but I’ll have to go tomorrow mornin. Unless I can convince the Apple store to stay open 2 hours past close, not counting on it.
 
Attempt 2 for me. First machine was misconfigured being sent back. Re-ordered today. Projected delivery date is Dec 6-10.

Progress of getting the MBP 16 (with the US-Keyboard!) to Berlin, Germany:
  • Nov 19 - Order placed - delivery estimation date Dec 3-5
  • Nov 21 - Charged, got tracking number (with 'Shipment information received' status in EINDHOVEN) - estimation date changed to Nov 29
  • Nov 26 - 'Processed at AMSTERDAM' and 'Departed facility in AMSTERDAM' - estimation date changed to 'Coming soon' - does this mean it might come tomorrow? (before I have got many parcels from within EU overnight actually - Amazon, eBay etc.)
Configuration:
  • 2.3GHz 8-core
  • 32GB RAM
  • 5500M 8GB
  • 2TB SSD
Update: Just came on Nov 27, as expected, around mid-day. So far no big issues (apart from sound pops and delete key being too loud).

My 13” got sent overnights to the south of France from Eindhoven so there is a fair chance you will be seeing your laptop tomorrow. Enjoy!

far as i know it left shanghai at 9:30 this morning so if it lands stateside tonight i suppose theres a slight chance of itgetting to MN tomorrow. guess we will see

Did it say the wrong configuration on the box or did you have to open and boot it to see you got the wrong one?

It was configures as a company machine, not a personal one. So it needed to log into company servers to complete install.

So the configuration was more of a billing/setup error in the Apple backend systems.

I never got setup completed, so no idea about hardware.
 
Ordered today the 26th, ship to store is supposed to arrive the 11th. I'm hoping that it gets there sooner, as my order status is already "preparing for shipment".
 
welp 13.5 hours since tracking updated with "in transit" in shanghai.

i assumed it was on the plane, but if it was it wouldve been scanned stateside by now.

i bet i wake up tomorrow to another bogus scan in shanghai that doesnt really tell me anything about its actual status and its still gone basically nowhere.
 
welp good news mine is out for delivery, supposed to be here by 10:30 but we got hammered with snow, but it's on the truck
 
Ordered my 2.4 / 64GB / 8GB / 4TB on the 13th, ups driver left it at my door without a sig yesterday. I am over 1,000 miles away for the next week so I had my neighbor retrieve it.

When did you order? Mine “shipped” yesterday, i mean eindhoven labels were created (shipment information received)... im hoping that by tomorrow they update me somehow.
 
Ordered Nov 18. Now due in store on black Friday, but hoping it got in late yesterday and any minute I will get a notice to come pick it up! :cool:
