UPS seems to be very quick.

This is the first time Apple is delivering something via DHL to me and it seems to be a mess...why does it need to go through Netherlands - I've no idea. Previously they used UPS and I had clear tracking from the point when it left the factory to my door whereas with DHL you get meaningless tracking that tells you nothing about the location of your device until it is actually very close to you - so it is a bit pointless.
But...there we go - just have to wait :)

Totally true, i called DHL, Apple even Syncreon which is the company they use to transport the things from China to Europe, non of them are "able" to help.

Ordered MacBook Pro 16" in the UK
i9 2.3ghz, Radeon Pro 5500m, 32GB RAM, 1TB SSD

Ordered Sunday 24th November (5 days ago)
Estimated delivery was 7th-10th December
Dispatch Notification Wednesday 27th November (2 days ago)
Estimated delivery is now 5th December

It's been on "Shipment information received" and Eindhoven since Wednesday. Does this mean that it'll be sent out any day now?

If you read this thread you will see that for some people the order has been stuck on this status for 3 days, for some over a week. Most likely it will arrive on the estimated date.

I did see others saying that. I also thought putting my timeline up might somehow be helpful for others ordering? It's probably best I keep my expectations low. Underpromise/overdeliver etc.

Ordered my BTO baseline model with the 5500m 4GB GPU on Wednesday. Just got shipment information from Apple. Guessing I’ll get it Monday or Tuesday. Original date was 10-12th of December.

Okay, that's fair enough. However looks like the underpromise/overdeliver works well with shipments that are delivered by UPS. Not so much with the DHL unfortunately. I wonder why did they switch to DHL...

If your order has shipped with DHL most likely you won't see it for another week or so unfortunately

Apple always ship with DHL here in Sweden. Usually when the package leaves Eindhoven it reaches me the next day. Was true with the sleeve I bought with the computer, my S5 Apple Watch and other things delivered with DHL. It works quite well here. Of course, the home delivery part is troublesome since most Swedes (almost all) don’t work from home. But as a student it'll be easier for me to set aside a time for delivery. I’m bettingI get it on Monday.

How are you guys tracking it? Mine does not have a shipping/tracking number but Order Status pages says it is "Shipping to Store"

That sounds encouraging. Hopefully they will ship it soon. I contacted Apple about changing shipping from "standard" to one of the expedited ones but apparently you cannot do it after placing the order.

Also, ^ is the account I made yesterday but for some strange reason, I cannot log into Forums with that. Everytime I click on the link, it comes up with a message saying "Oops something went wrong. You do not have permission to access this page"

First it actually needs to reach Eindhoven which seems to be taking the most time.

I wonder if they send machines from China -> Eindhoven in batches? I'm guessing at the scale they're operating that even if they did, it probably doesn't matter.

They surely must be doing that. I've had packages sent from China via DHL Express (apparently same service Apple is using) arrive to my doorstep within 48hrs.

I've never received a shipping notification when it leaves China. Anyway to double check?
Because you won't receive one and there is no way to track it or check it. If your DHL tracking says "Shipping Information received" that means guys in Netherlands are waiting for your Macbook to arrive from China and go through customs and you will only see something appear once it has gone through that.

I did try to check out flights. My guess it the package is actually being flown by UPS to Europe and then handed over to DHL. It seems UPS do not fly direct, they fly in multiple hops, that for sure will take some time and then there is customs processing.

For me it took four working days until DHL had the package in hand and I got the first status change. Then there was 10 status changes in 18 hours and I had the packet in hand. SO in the end it will go fast :)

Embarrassed to admit that even though I'd generally consider myself a patient, rational person I've been checking my DHL tracking status multiple times a day. Really excited to start using the 16"!

Just received a text from DHL saying it will be delivered on Monday the 2nd. The tracking on the website has also been finally updated.

That's super exciting! Even though mine is stuck somewhere still it seems, happy that yours is on it's way.

DHL usually does but I chosen my delivery address to be my work address so I'll just have to wait until Monday. Oh well...at least I know where it is now haha

I ordered to pick up in apple store and I haven't tracking even when it has been sanded some days ago. I'm just have Dec 3rd date and waiting a call saying that it's here before estimated time. 😅

I am in the same boat. I opted for collection from the store and the order page shows status as shipping to the store. I just hope it will arrive earlier than the ETA.

Mine was (almost) delivered via DHL in the US. I missed the delivery today and now have to wait until a reattempt Monday since they don't do Saturday.
:(

Overall, it left Shanghai on Tuesday 11/26 and landed here today on 11/29, so pretty quick for the standard shipping. Assuming it would have been even earlier without the closing for Thanksgiving.

Within one day, my parcel has gotten to and left Heathrow at 10:50 (intermediate hops: Amsterdam, Leipzig, Luton) and just arrived at the Delivery Facility at City of London.

Interestingly, the Estimated Delivery field, which was originally highlighted in red and bolded, has returned to black, but showing the same ETA of Monday 2nd December.

The order page now says it has been shipped to the store and will be available for collection on 10th, a day earlier than the ETA at the time of order. I find it difficult to believe that it would take them ten days to get it from China to UK! Still keeping my hopes high of getting the machine sometime next week.
