I was grandfathered in with Verizon unlimited data but I also thought about my real world usage (only 1 to 2 gigs per month). I decided to give up the unlimited about 3 years ago because I could save a lot of money by changing to the shared family plan and I also suspected that Verizon would eventually start throttling back data usage (like AT&T). Looks like Verizon is going to do just that starting next month so I made the right choice.

I use about 3-5 Gb per month.

Strangely enough I don't do a lot of video streaming. I do refresh Twitter almost constantly, and my videos usually consist of short clips.

I don't know where it all goes, but the data just disappears for me. I don't have wifi at work though so that doesn't help.

I've been as high as 24 GB and as low as 5 or 6. Plus wifi usage. My wife has a 4S (soon to be a 6), so with her sure to be increased usage on LTE, I'm sure hers will go up as well.

I've done the math and I can't find a plan that doesn't overcharge me for the "light" months, but won't gouge me for the heavy months. If there's a shared plan, it'll only get worse. I can't give up my unlimited data plan, so I'm a full price buyer and sell off the old ones and/or pass them down.

1.2 - 1.5 GB per month. When my youtube consumption goes up on Subways I can get the outer edges of my 3GB plan, but never actually gone over.

3 lines on my AT&T account. Average 11-12 GB a month. I don't even monitor our usage. We have 15 gb plan. Well had. Just switched to the new plans. Now we have doubled for same price... 30GB's

Verizon unlimited with paid unlimited hotspot.
10-80GB/month, avg 40GB which is 10% of my Comcast usage.

All my phone traffic is VPN. The traffic over vpn ranges from streamed iTunes Match (not video) to installing server OS's remotely with IP KVMs. My phone is my internet on the go for work. Most hotels have **** connections and even some sites at work have low speed connections.

It is not my home internet replacement and if it was my usage would be 400-800GB/mo (hence the 10% comment). I have a home lab for work and we stream all of our tv services (Hulu, Netflix, iTunes and HBO go). Part of the home traffic is my cell phone VPN traffic too.

Cant be real... Last month I was at 209GB

😱😱

This is a light month; I average between 4-5GB (though I feel the throttle a few times a year).

I've used 93gb so far this month, but I have no access to wifi where I live. I pay for tethering and use it to watch Netflix consistently and update my phone, apps, MacBook, etc. It goes quick on these phones when there is no wifi to use.

The last 12 billing cycles I have ranged from 2.7-7GB. Most cycles range between 4-6. If I didn't use wifi I could easily double that even with AT&T's throttling.

I like having the piece of mind that I don't have to worry about data limits. The few months I switched off unlimited I found myself using half if not more of my 3GB allowance within the first week. I was lucky to be able to get unlimited back on my plan.

Hah, I guess it's from Tethering and Watching Netflix. Blame it on Tinder😛😛

I mean... I use a lot of data.. I thought.. lol. I only get 5GB of mobile tethering though. Wish it was unlimited. I don't like connecting to the school's wifi network in this room. It's unsecure and slow.
