Dumb and Dumber To - Verdict: I haven't laughed that hard in years. The scene where they're holding the smelly drinks is hilarious. There are some nasty scenes too that I couldn't watch. Score: 8.47/10
I also liked Dumb and Dumber To, but I have to vehemently disagree with your score - - there's no way this scores anything over 8.43/10!!!

Run All Night (Liam Neeson) - Verdict: I liked it. Sure, over-the-top, but that's to be expected with a Neeson movie. Still entertaining. I'd give it a 6.75/10.

I've been too afraid to watch this because I liked the original too much. How much new is there as compared to old recycled gags?

I loved the original one and hedged my expectations of the sequel. I watched it for the first time not too long ago and I thought it was good. There were many throwbacks to the original and several hysterical parts as well.

I'd give it a 5.5/10. Its worth a watch if you're bored and there isn't anything else more enticing to watch at the moment.

One of my favorite sequences in the original was Lloyd's "with Mary Swanson" dream sequence and I Love The Flower Girl (Cowsills) playing in the background. It was surreal. :D

I have to go there, I do. The toilet scene (toilet humor, literally) was my favorite one of the movie. My dad and I almost literally fell out of our chairs laughing so hard the first time we saw it!

Lol, I just came from (Bedroom door thread):

Nope. Nope. Nope. There are some things that just shouldn't be shared. Poop is one of those things. Not only is the door always closed, but I try to go to a different area of the house.

To watching Harold explode. Turbolax gets the job done, especially when half a bottle is used. :D I don't remember him ripping the toilet off the floor and pouring it out the window. Alarming. :p

How can the new movie ever compete with 20 years of nostalgia for the old one?

Perhpas you might be encouraged by the fact that the new one scored close to the same on Metacritic (36) as the old one (41) - a high aggregate review score is almost always a bad sign for a comedy movie.

I'm watching the entire Kolchak: The Night Stalker series on Netflix. I loved that show when I was a kid and despite some of the ridiculous storylines, it's still pretty good today.

Watched Rush yesterday. As an avid F1 fan I should have seen it sooner, but sometimes you just don't get round to it do you.
Anyway I found it quite enjoyable. Not sure a non F1 fan would though.

I just watched Jupiter Ascending last night with my family. It was an ok movie. Good action and special effects, very weak story. Glad I got it On Demand rather than going to the theater to see it.

This weekend was the first viewing of Clockwatchers. I know it was over 10 years old, but definitely didn't understand the point.

Re-watched The Fifth Element. I still really enjoy it. The 20 years difference between Bruce Willis and Milla Jovovich still makes me cringe, and I hate the aliens. However, it's got Gary Oldman, so I give it a thumbs up.

The first time I saw TFE I thought it was kind of stupid, but since then, it's grown on me. :) Actually Bruce still looked young-ish in 1997.

I've always enjoyed The Fifth Element. I've not seen a Bruce Willis film that I didn't enjoy.

I looked down through his filmography on IMDB. I think most people would rank Die Hard as his best movie that propelled into hard core stardom, but I also enjoyed him in Pulp Fiction, Twelve Monkeys, The Fifth Element, and Armageddon where he shined among an outstanding ensemble all star cast.

The Sixth Sense is tied for top with Twelve Monkeys for me. Very different flicks, but both extremely good.

Going to see Inside Out with the family tonight. I've heard nothing but positive reviews so far.

We saw it on Friday (mid-afternoons, even in the summer, are a good time to avoid major crowds).

It's pretty amazing, easily in the Top <n> Pixar movies. Love the design, characters, the message, the terrific cast - and it works on a number of different levels: kids, adult humor, even some pretty "heady" stuff. Plenty of amazingly emotional moments in it too. Our little one who's 7yrs/old loved it too and it's probably a must have when it's available on home video.

FYI, we went with the 2D, the 3D is probably pretty amazing in quite a few scenes, but I just find a touch distracting (and there's so much to take in with the story).

9.2-9.3/10
