I do see on BBC 1 there is a rerun of Far From the Madding Crowd at 8pm
With Val Kilmer producing a superb turn as Doc Holliday? Terrific movie.
Probably the best job of acting I have ever seen.
wow....
all things are subjective...
cos i think that film is crap.
partly because of val kilmer... true story.

My favorite Val Kilmer movie is The Saint (1997). I like the story, atmosphere, Kilmer and Elizabeth Shue..I thought his portrayal of Doc Holliday was excellent and helped give the movie - a very good one - a depth it might otherwise have lacked.

loved Michael Sheen though (that man need to be in more genre films as he's great in every single one of them.)

Wow, I think you may be the first person I've ever seen that did not have at least a _moderate_ appreciation of Tombstone. I love it, one of my favorites and I'm not much of a Western enthusiast (mostly some Sergio films, and more modern takes on the genre like Unforgiven).
The cast, holy smokes, look at this sampling:
Kurt Russell
Val Kilmer
Sam Elliott
Bill Paxton
Powers Boothe
Michael Biehn
Charlton Heston
Stephen Lang
Thomas Haden Church
Billy Bob Thornton
That's some serious talent.

Surely Jim Carey is the worst? He only plays one character and I believe it's himself. A man in good need of a punch in the face. If he was in the next Star Wars I'd probably watch it. Everything else I'd skip it. Can't stand the bloke.thought i'd love it too!
i wanted to like it. sat through it several times and it hasn't happened.
can't stand it. billy bob is the worst american actor i can name besides kevin costner.

Oh, goody. I thought I was the only person on this planet who disliked those two. Billy Bob comes off as a creep in all his roles. His role in Love Actually as the American President only helped that negative image. Coincidentally, who knew Love Actually's American President would some day come true.![]()
Yes it would be one of those films where I'd imagine it would be worth it.
My Grandad was rescued at Dunkirk. He also survived D-day.
Only the original film is good. The newer ones make you want to take a hammer to your head.jim carrey i've never been a big fan of. the dumb and dumber stuff i do find funny though.
