Jumanji (1995)- The Best Jumanji.

One of the most multifaceted comedians we’ve ever witnessed with Robin Williams. It goes to show you, you truly don’t really know someone aside from what we see in the ‘big film screen’, given all his interpersonal issues that he struggled with during his life. But an outstanding actor and comedian that changed lives around him.

Go ahead and use spoiler brackets, I’ve seen both 7&8 (blah!) and was expecting to be dissapointed by 9.

Rise of Skywalker "questions" and comments:

If Leia never became a Jedi, how did she have her own light saber?

If force ghosts can affect the physical world (Yoda using force lightning in The Last Jedi and Luke catching a light saber and levitating a ship in The Rise of Skywalker) why couldn't jedi force ghosts just stop the Empire/First Order/Final Order from coming into power? As they are already dead, they could do whatever they want with impunity

If the Emperor was alive this entire time, then Darth Vader saving Luke from the Emperor by killing him renders the original trilogy null and void

Rey, who has been a "Mary Sue" the entire sequel trilogy, cannot complete the Jedi training obstacle course in the beginning the film yet can force heal?

How did Kylo survive being drained of his life force and thrown off a cliff by the Emperor and then use the force to bring Rey back from the dead?

The Emperor wanted Rey to kill him so he would pass into her body...Rey kills him yet he does not pass into her body - what changed in those 5 minutes?

The Grudge(2004)
I remember liking this one when I was younger. It hasn't aged well.

The best Bond film during my young adult life Golden Eye! It even had the best video game with the movie!
I think I played that game...

Phew... I don't have to watch it now... Thanks! :)

My god, just more gobbledegook from the Star Wars Gang that couldn't shoot straight. They were so good at plagiarizing previous material, for the emperor, maybe they watched Harry Potter and were inspired to emulate a condensed Voldemort‘s story arc leaving out the details, as in he was damaged and took all that time to recover in secret (Not a critical statement directed at the Harry Potter series).

This last Star Wars trilogy was puke worthy, the absolute worst. Oh, it had some slick imagery but they still needed a story, a worthy story. The tragedy was this was THE golden opportunity for the franchise after the dissapoinment of I-III. The crime and the insult to SWs fans is having all the money in the world to make whatever they wanted, but too devoid of creativity to carry the story forward and instead knowingly creating an abomination to prey on the wallets of Star Wars fans. SHAME on you, JJ Abrams!

Like Glideslope, we also watched "Onward" last night. Another hit for Pixar. Great animation and a good script. This one is highly recommended!

I just watched Marriage Story

Even thought I am a divorce attorney, I would recommend watching that movie to anyone thinking about filing for divorce to see just how intense the process can become

. . . And the Pursuit of Happiness

Directed by Louis Malle • 1986 • United States
In 1986, Louis Malle, himself a transplant to the United States, set out to investigate the ever-widening range of immigrant experience in America. Interviewing a variety of newcomers (from teachers to astronauts to doctors) in middle- and working-class communities from coast to coast, Malle paints a generous, humane portrait of their individual struggles in an increasingly polyglot nation.

We watched "Jay And Silent Bob Reboot" last night. It was a great Kevin Smith movie, but not his best. Very funny and filled with everyone who's ever been in anything that Kevin has done. It's probably not a film for everyone but if you're a Smith fan or have watched enough of his stuff, you'll like it. It really is a movie he made for his fans, geeks, stoners and comic and Convention nerds. I really enjoyed this one! Needless to say, if you do watch it, it ain't a "family movie" unless you have older teens!

Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl (2003)- A splendid first edition of this franchise, before Jack Sparrow fatigue set in. A great cast.

I’m always reminded of the Disney Ride a real treat in its day. :)

But it was not all family rated entertainment, lol. 😜 I would of sworn it was a CGI monkey, but they used both a real and a digital monkey.

X2: X-Men United (2003)- If you are into X-Men, so many reasons to love this movie. It starts with an incredibly choreographed attack against the President in the White House. The plot by William Striker to start a war between regular humans and mutants, ties the 3 movie trilogy together, along with a look at how Wolverine became Wolverine, tied directly in the Wolverine Origins Movie and a younger Colonel Striker‘s experiments on mutants. Quite possibly the best X-Men movie ever made. Yes, my opinion. 🙃
  • Brian Singer, Director does a great job, including keeping the vibe of the original X-Men movie, a vibe I’ve not seen in any subsequent X-Men movie along with incredible visuals.
  • Huge Jackman, in his prime as Wolverine.
  • Patrick Stewart, outstanding as Xavier.
  • Jean Grey (Famke Jannsen) and Storm (Halle Berry) are wonderful.
  • A collection of outstanding actors portraying mutants, Cyclops, Magneto, Mystique, Rogue, Pyro, Nightcrawler, Iceman, Colossus, and Lady Deathstrike.
