I like True Lies as my favourite Arnie movie. Terminator as well of course but that’s not really a hard acting gig.Actually he was pretty great in Conan the Barbarian IMO.
Total Recall is probably where he acted best.

I want to say Predator is Arnold’s first AAA movie, where he comes across as a real actor?
Actually he was pretty great in Conan the Barbarian IMO.
Total Recall is probably where he acted best.
I’d argue True Lies as his best, most polished, actually a wonderful performance under the wing of James Cameron.Actually he was pretty great in Conan the Barbarian IMO.

True Lies was very good, but that movie is carried 45% by Arnie, 45% by Jamie Lee Curtis, and 10% by Tia Carrere.I’d argue True Lies as his best, most polished, actually a wonderful performance under the wing of James Cameron.
The premise sounds great!Repo Men [2010]

Take a gander at that movie poster with the image you see a picture of a heart with a price tag of $975,000. Can you imagine in the future if you can’t find a donor for a major organ you need to live, you have to rely on an artificial organ that cost into the hundreds of thousands where you have to make payments on it?
The movie itself focuses on a company known as ‘The Union’, and they provide patients with artificial organs where donors are not available, and if you don’t make the necessary payments on said organs, they repossess the organ by company agents known as ‘Repo men’, [acted by Forrest Whitaker and Jude law.] Oh, Liev Schreiber is also in the movie.
I’ve watched this movie a few times in the past and I truly do believe we live in a world where this is something that will happen, where if you need specific parts for your body in order to continue to live your life, you won’t be able to afford an out-of-pocket, thus making payments. Really, I think medical technology will reach that limit at some point in the future, but this movie kind of shows you that angle, where it’s no different if you don’t pay your mortgage, the bank repossesses your home.
Anyways, if you’ve read this far, the movie itself is good, I am a huge fan of Jude Law, and place is an interesting emphasis on life and how you value it based on a price tag.

Arnold does not have to be the sole star and you forgot Tom Arnold.True Lies was very good, but that movie is carried 45% by Arnie, 45% by Jamie Lee Curtis, and 10% by Tia Carrere.
Never even heard of it.Deadfall [2011]

Unbelievably disappointing a failure of a movie. And to my surprise, I thought this would actually be decent, given the storyline seem likely had a good plot, but the acting and script-writing is absolutely atrocious. [The only good thing about this movie, is it has Olivia Wilde, who is gorgeous.] When movies are failures, sometimes they have ‘no name actors’, but surprisingly this movie has a huge cast with Eric Bana, Charlie Hunnam (Sons of Anarchy), Olivia Wilde, Kris Kristofferson, Kate Mara and Sissy Spacek, all been in many films.
The movie is about a brother and sister who rob a casino with a large amount of money, and are preparing there escape towards Canada, when their plan is derailed after an accident.
Hard pass.
Never even heard of it.
I'm a bit down on Olivia Wilde now because she dumped my boy Jason Sudeikis.
You're watching it in Italian?
Exactly!I’d argue True Lies as his best, most polished, actually a wonderful performance under the wing of James Cameron.
Ok, am I confused, is this a test?
I was watching Dr. No in English.Ok, am I confused, is this a test?Is that License to Kill, which I would call Dr. Know based on Ursula Andress, and License to Kill starred Timothy Dalton as BoNd.
So I ignored your recommendation and... yeah, wow, that was something. I think if one is considering watching this movie, within 15 minutes you’ll know whether or not to commit fully. @Relentless Power sums it up pretty good and I’ll add its very art house. I liked the cinematography and the soundtrack/soundscape but the story was so enigmatic. I’ll probably be thinking about this movie for awhile.Only God Forgives [2013]

A lot of the movies that I recommend are usually ‘well known,’ this ain’t one of em’. This particular movie is one of those that I wouldn’t recommend to anyone, just for the fact of the amount of unnecessary violence, convoluted plot and overall, it’s pretty sadistic. But I’m a fan of Ryan Gosling and Nicholas Winding Refn (<— He directed ‘Drive’ with Gosling.)
The movie follows a drug smuggler (Gosling) living in Thailand, and his brother is killed and his mother wants to hold accountable whoever was behind his brothers murder.
This movie really isn’t based on dialogue script writing , the majority of the movie actually involves very little dialogue, Ryan gosling actually has less than three minutes of actual voicing in the entire movie, which shows you the true talent of an actor to go beyond words.
So if you plan on tuning into this one, it really is one of those films that you have to pay close attention to understand what’s going on with the plot, some of it is in foreign language, but I do warn you given there is some {extreme scenes} that I won’t detail here, but I enjoyed the movie for what it was worth.
