Classic film! One of my top films.
ewan was great, as was Jordan Chase
the scenes were good but just that guy with the knife did not make sense, too far fetched, even for 90's Edinburgh.
which is why we need to watch movies like this again, and again!

Rambo - Last Blood (2019)

Studied the RED camera work. I do prefer 35mm but it was okay, it's a paradigm change with the digital possibilities nowadays.
Remember seeing 28 days later (2002), that was the first movie I saw shot entirely digitally.

As a fan of Michael Fassbender, I was looking up his filmography and I found this film that I hadn’t heard of, so I tuned in. To say the least, there’s nothing I haven’t really been exposed to watching in the film industry, but this movie is on a different level that I found that will make any viewer uncomfortable, and it’s a very intimate and personal movie about a man that struggles with pornography/sex addiction, while coping with his own personal life

For What it’s worth, (Since we are all adults here) I actually really enjoyed the movie for reasons that are not superficial, given there’s nothing really else like this in the film industry, and I was stunned by the amount of nudity, and sexual activity that was actually involved in making this film. And I think obviously that’s the route the Director wanted to take, to show you that there are other addictions out there that some people do struggle with, but we just don’t hear about them in our society as much, given that it’s a very private entity for some people like Michael Fassbender‘s character in this movie.

The Letter Room (2020) A solid, currently Oscar nominated short live action film, about the written lies people tell their incarcerated relatives or significant others. A kindly corrections officer who was transferred to the title room gets caught up in that web. I hope it wins the award.

Extra Ordinary. I put this on my list having heard Maeve Higgins on Wait, Wait, don't tell me. It was generally pretty slow, but I laughed a ton. Watched it a second time with my son, and liked it just as much.

Love and Monsters (2020), Netflix

I like to think that we're all alive today because the brave guys in Armageddon (1998) destroyed that asteroid. But, in an alternate, dystopian universe, where the guys from Armageddon failed to drill the asteroid to death, the world has resorted to blasting the damn thing right off the sky with all sorts of dangerous weapons. As a result, although the asteroid doesn't get to make contact with out precious planet, the chemical fallout from all the missiles wreaks all sorts of havoc on earth. Big bugs, huge mutated bugs with a penchant for human flesh overrun our planet, and people have taken to living in abandoned missile silos and such underground facilities to stay alive. One guy, Joel, is living in one with some other people when, one day, he reaches his girlfriend from seven years ago, when all hell broke loose, on a radio. Joel's not exactly the type to be expected to survive on his own, but even so, he sets out to reconnect with the girl he loves.

A fun movie, perfect with a some wine and a rainy afternoon. The effects are actually pretty impressive, and the cast does a good job. Especially the four legged one. Such a good boy.

Not a bad way to spend a couple of hours. A pretty good way, in fact.

I'm a bit late perhaps, but I bought "Parasite" on Apple TV/Movies and what a movie. I loved it.

E: Found this in the trivia-section :)

According to editor Jinmo Yang, he edited the film in Final Cut Pro 7 - an editing program that Apple stopped supporting in 2011, on a computer that hasn't had a software update since 2014. He received an Oscar nomination for his work.

Mortal Kombat [2021]

I’ve been a fan of Mortal Kombat probably longer than anyone else in this forum. I played the games back to when I was a kid, and watched the previous movies.

Altogether, I have to say, I didn’t think this movie was very good. The very first 10 minutes of the opening of the film, was actually the best directing in the entire film. The characters were true to their part, but the acting was horrible. I do think the CGI was excellent, and has come along way since the original Mortal Kombat. But the biggest problem with this movie, wasn’t necessarily just the acting, it’s way too l-o-n-g. It easily could’ve been shortened down to an hour and a half, and dragged in areas where it doesn’t need to with added filler that doesn’t tell the story.

The fight choreography was decent, and obviously was the main highlights of this movie. I still think it’s worth watching. Personally, I wouldn’t pay to watch this movie, [I watched it for free], and even though I did enjoy parts of it, it’s not worth a second rewatch from my standpoint.

Was listening to Liquid Swords by RZA, and realized I never watched this movie.

Super violent, but great. Amazing soundtrack, and cinematography. One of the few instances of really well acted voice dubbing.

V For Vendetta (2005)- Again... One of the best graphic novel to movie stories about a future fictional UK, a warning about fascism and a vendetta. Great acting and script.

Love and Monsters. Sorry, but I gotta say that I thought this was crap. 5/10 Younger folk may enjoy it though. i haven’t finished watching it and really don’t have any desire to do so.

So many off topic responses here. As per thread title, you must post BEFORE you finish watching the movie.
