Antman and the Wasp (2018)- This is a good sequel to the original film, the effort to find Hank Pim's wife lost in the quantum universe. Of interest while there is mention of the ramifications of Avengers: Civil War, it was released after Avengers: Infinity War and there is not a peep about that until the End Credit Scene.

I forgot how great this movie was, and how in love with Marisa Tomei I am.
At the end of the day it is a silly movie, but man the execution is flawless, and I really miss the '80s comedy movie ability to blend humor with earnestness. It really seems to be a loss or these days.

The Last Picture Show (1971)- A rather bleak, intriguing portrayal of a small dying 50s Texas Town, novel written by Larry McMurtry (Lonesome Dove- 1986 Pulitzer Prize), based on his 1966 novel of the same name. This put a cast of young actors on the map.
This story comes from the same ecosystem as Hud (1963, another novel written by McMurtry called Horseman, Pass By), about a ranch family in 50s Texas facing crisis.

Crimson Peak (2015 Netflix)- 5/10. Guillermo DelToro gothic horror, a bit over the top, with some pretty good ghost animations. I read it was a flop, but getting a second wind on Netflix.

. Kind of slapstick. Good characters and decent story. Really great monsters too.
Quantum of Solace (2008)- 10/10. Second part of Casino Royale (2006). Quantum is a modern scary organization. We have people everywhere. Incredible high fidelity air sequence.

Assassins Creed [2016]
If you’re a gamer like myself, you would really appreciate the movie ‘Assassin’s Creed’ in some aspects, even though it’s nothing like game itself, but The movie was actually inspired from the original A.C. that launched approximately 15 years ago.
However, I do have to say the movie doesn’t really work for the most part, and for some, they really love this film and for others, the plot doesn’t do a good job explaining the past from the present.
Basically, you have a man by the name of Cal, who has genetic code that he shares with his ancestry 500 years ago who was an assassin, and is being recruited to take part in a ‘project’ that will help him relive his history.
The cast of the movie is excellent, which includes Michael Fassbender, (which is a personal favorite of mine), Marion Cotillard and Jeremy Irons. To me, if it wasn’t for those three actors in this movie, it probably never would’ve made it to theaters.
Like I said, if you’re familiarized at all with Assassin’s Creed the game and you like that type of gameplay, then you probably would enjoy the movie, even though the storyline has no affiliation with the game.

never been a huge fan of the games, although enjoyed odyssey, but was of the impression the movie was “cannon”
Marisa Tomie was great in that movie 💕 - she won an academy award for her performance - Great Movie 👍
Quantum is next on my Bond re-watch list. I didn't like Craig at first as 007, but over the years, he really grew on me and now, I think he's one of the best Bonds they've ever had.
