Did someone say they watched it on Disney+?
Yes I did, here in the U.K. we don’t get Hulu… yet. So the film is on Disney Plus which makes sense as they own 20th century.

Lightyear (2022)- I’m a big Toy Story Fan, and this story did nothing for me, didn’t even finish it.Agreement not expected.

Thx saved me two hours of wasted life. @Huntn was a big trigger as he's frequently on the mark and you've just confirmed. Not remotely interested in Woke or Forced Diversity in films, more you watch the more you'll get. Shame as I really like the character.I watched that last night and it is rubbish! I thought the best part was literally the ending.. it’s needlessly woke, and even without that the story is dull, characters very dull and uninteresting and the film is way too long, nearly 2 hours. It just drags in and on. I stopped watched half way through for a few hours then went back to it. I give it a 2 out of 10.
I saw it through and I gotta say I would have preferred Tim Allen to play Buzz. The cat, the comic relief, wasn't that funny either.Lightyear (2022)- I’m a big Toy Story Fan, and this story did nothing for me, didn’t even finish it.Agreement not expected.
Just confirms, studios need to get back to serving the audience and not themselves...I saw it through and I gotta say I would have preferred Tim Allen to play Buzz. The cat, the comic relief, wasn't that funny either.
I thought Toy Story and Lightyear were kid's movies. I wouldn't expect grand cinema.Just confirms, studios need to get back to serving the audience and not themselves...
Q-6
Lightyear- For those who have not seen it, it is described as the movie Andy watched as a kid and fell in love with BL. I agree with your sentiment and I doubt a movie Andy saw as a kid was this awoke. However, as a sign of the times, the prominent gay theme did not bother me.I watched that last night and it is rubbish! I really want to see how these North American Indians fare against Predator. No Spoiler Comments please!View attachment 2040015
technically ive warched it twice, once by myself on the TV and last night on projector with one of my daughters.

I like the toy better. To be fair, Buzz isn't the toy Buzz in Lightyear, he's an actual human Buzz - a different character.
Yet, I an adult, loved all 4 Toy Story films and disliked Lightyear. 🤗I thought Toy Story and Lightyear were kid's movies. I wouldn't expect grand cinema.
True, equally should be entertaining for the bigger people as was the predecessors. This is how it starts, give them an inch and they take a mile...I thought Toy Story and Lightyear were kid's movies. I wouldn't expect grand cinema.
Answer is to not watch woke & forced diversity trash, studios will get it sooner or later when the cash runs out. Alien 1979 superb mixed cast (pardon the pun), tremendous and impressively strong female lead. One of the very best, yet nothing was forced...Lightyear- For those who have not seen it, it is described as the movie Andy watched as a kid and fell in love with BL. But for other reasons it was bad for me, although I can’t claim the film is beyond liking for everyone. Some kids probably like it.I was just not engaged, and actually Buzz annoyed me.
As a Toy, I like Lightyear’s personality, but as a human being, he seemed… shallow, verbose, one dimensional. He had more humanity as a toy, at least as a toy in the later Toy Story chapters.
It may seem silly to be bothered by this, but at the beginning of this film Buzz makes some bad decisions, is not only a poor listener, but seems like a poor leader and his manner of speaking… suddenly I found him to be annoying. As a toy you can get away with a lot more (or in this case less) than as a person.![]()

Then I think you weren't paying attention when watching the film. The character of Buzz in Lightyear does start out as a poor leader. But a good character isn't characterized by their lack of flaws, it's their ability to develop and mature.Lightyear- For those who have not seen it, it is described as the movie Andy watched as a kid and fell in love with BL. I accept your rebuttal, however it was not a matter of not paying attention, but not making it to the end. It’s a very interesting sensation for me regarding anything involving The Toy Story universe, to be turned off by it. And to clarify it had nothing to do with any social themes in the story. Then I think you weren't paying attention when watching the film. The character of Buzz in Lightyear does start out as a poor leader. But a good character isn't characterized by their lack of flaws, it's their ability to develop and mature.
Yeah, he starts out narrow minded and only focused on getting back into space despite it being clear that the rest of the marooned space rangers have settled in and accepted their fate. And yeah, he doesn't demonstrate aspects of being a great leader when he insists on doing everything on his own when he arrives in the distant future. But it's apparent from his actions since the beginning that he cares about the safety and well-being of his allies, even if he considers them inexperienced and ineffectual. And by the end, he's willing to sacrifice his dream of returning to the past and seeing his old friends to instead save the lives of his new ones.
Did you forget that the Buzz in Toy Story started as a total airhead and developed into a great leader despite having his entire reality shattered and at one point lost his mind? If you had approached Toy Story with the same attitude, you'd have the same opinion of that character. This Buzz is no better or worse than the toy version.
